this is an absolute goldmine... I watched the gameboy compilation too and found some old game we used to play at our friend's house. Without this I never could've found out what game it was / what it's been called. Especially since Japanese and non-Japanese versions had different names for some of the games. Thanks so much, my man!

There's a certain magic that Super Nintendo Games have that None of the other Consoles just don't. I Dont know what it is but it's almost magical, and i love it
@MiguelAngel-nm6qh6 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's because the word Nintendo and the 16-bits graphics are the most classics representations of the world of videogames for all kind of people.
@derek-646 жыл бұрын
@@MiguelAngel-nm6qh a lot of people like myself also like the 16-bit graphical style with sprites. and with modern tech you can do so much more with sprites. especially in some of the indie games we see. but it's not just that. i love 16-bit sound effects and soundtracks(depending on the game, of course). the 16-bit era(mainly snes since i didn't have genesis growing up) holds a certain place in my heart and it's my favorite era of gaming. i'm glad i actually got to grow up with it being in my early teens and now that i'm older, just turning 40, i still like to go back and revisit these games, as well as play some games i didn't get a chance to play growing up, whether i didn't know about them, or just couldn't afford them. there's plenty of classic games in the snes library worth checking out, and however you do that is up to you. but one thing is for certain the snes is is my favorite console and for damn good reason. sorry for the wall o' text. not good with paragraphs. *edit* one thing i forgot to mention. some of my all-time favorite games are on the super nintendo. my number 1, all-time favorite game being Super Castlevania IV. i love that game!

@@derek-64 i love snes at 23 years old because I grew up playing Wario Ware (playing nes mini games) and Super Smash Bros.melee, looking at all of the trophies and their historical info as you collected them. After finding out how flawed the NES games are, I started looking at snes games.
@derek-645 жыл бұрын
@@Curtoonstv i wouldn't exactly consider nes games flawed. the tech back then was just really limited and some developers unfortuntately didn't know how to utilize it to full potential. there's still plenty of excellent nes games, though. and sometimes ya gotta search and dig to find some of the really good lesser known games as well. both nes and snes are where its at for me.

So many good titles that America didn't see. I believe their thinking was that the US would miss the Japanese cultural references and it just wouldn't make sense. The problem is that Nintendo of America was rather strict in what was allowed. Combine that with the fact that there are quite a few games that didnt sell as well that might have today. Most RPG and strategy games developed in Japan didnt sell well outside of Japan, it wasnt until Final Fantasy VII came out when the RPG genre became more mainstream

Honestly, no you don't. It's so clear to see the jump from NES to SNES. A lot of NES games haven't aged particularly well, but then you look at the SNES and... just... *wow* so many of them are incredible to this day. I look at Chrono Trigger, I don't see an aging game I doubt I could play unless it was fun, I see an incredible work of sprite-art that stood the test of time due to both the system's unique style of graphics and the game developers capability of adapting it properly. Seriously, there are so many games still worth playing on the system.
