the impact of the low pressure area/depression that hit the UK made its way to Hamburg, Germany. It was mostly sunny/cloudy throughout the day, but the wind (still) is so strong that the whole overground(!) public train system is down, some of the underground aswell, the cab companies are maxed out of capacity and even the busses are affected. some major roads are closed because of falling trees and even roofs. I was lucky, I had a free day an stayed in the flat... the force of nature :)

It stormed down South England today, but not as bad as people were predicting.. Although there was recycling bins and odd things flying about all over the place and we had some crazy heavy rain.. I love storms :3

Where I am, about 30 miles from the east coast of England there was some wind in the evening and then I woke up in the morning expecting all hell to have broken loose and I opened the curtains and everything was bright and sunny and lovely haha.

i live about 20 mins from Brighton and last night at about 4am it got crazy - there was so much wind and it literally tipped it down torrentially for about 2 hours non-stop. Apart from that though, it's just been normal - so much for a super storm!!

My older brother always wanted to be a storm chaser. I spent the majority of my child hood watching storm documentaries and being forced to learn the F scale for tornatos. We do live in tornato ally though, as well as being Canadian so I see alot of cool storms.

We had a Super Storm last year where I live on the East Coast of the U.S. It was called Super Storm Sandy and it basically destroyed the whole entire beach front of my town and every other town up the coast. I hope nothing like that happened to you guys!

Everyone was like it's gonna be a HUGE storm and everything... I mean I guess some places were hit hard but mostly it was just strong winds and rain. A few damaged trees but nothing especially out of the ordinary in most areas.

It might not be as heavy, but the storm hit the Netherlands too. Some woman died because of a falling tree while she was jogging or something! I never go trough this winds and rain when I'm on my way to school. I was literally blown away on my bike!

I read a newspaper near Cirencester (between brimngham and bristol) and it said britains biggest storm... In 2005 i was 6 and 5 mins from where i live in Birmingham there was a proper tornado!!
