Same here. I’ve owned a lot of high end dome tweeters, none were as good as Børresen’s.

With a dome tweeter you have to do something that most designers do not do, which is the dampen the "Fs" with a null filter with just the right Q. *_They don't like amplitude_* and that technique goes a long way to kill it. I am of course not saying anything against what is said in this video and the mass advantage of ribbons, but I know that a dome can sound almost ribbon like when at its best, but it is rare to see that happen, *_very_* rare. Also, there is something to be said about ring radiators.

I saw tweeters in your speakers move in-sync with the woofers, so I wonder what is the effect on the performance?

I have a Quad SC center speaker which sounds very compressed in the high frequencies during explosion scenes. Is this a usual characteristic of ribbon tweeters?

Yes, 20.7s have a 60" true ribbon tweeter.

They do but with much higher mass. No Magnepan, including their flagships, can match the hi frequency extension and detail of these Børrsen ribbons. Hearing is believing.
