That terrified me so much that I had a very vivid dream shortly after watching it where I relived that scene as if I was in the movie but he never fell off the roof because he was in the vehicle with us. This is the best episode of any podcast or show ever that I’ve seen. I’m blown away, head reeling from the discussions you had - it was riveting, engaging, entertaining, thoughtful and thought provoking, informative, and just - amazing, and thank you for sharing this!!!! I especially loved the mention of Dr. Heiser, god bless him (RIP). I’m probably going to have to listen to this several more times because it was thick in the best possible way, layers and layers of depth of topics. I really really appreciated the discussion about deconstruction because I have been up and down and hither and dale for a good part of my adult life for the very reasons outlined: being raised in the faith but not really having the raw education of the ancient world until I went to University and then being confused and frankly institutionally shamed for identifying as a Christian (whereas student’s identifying as Neo Pagan or any other belief were given a pat on the back). I’m probably going to have to comment again later because my brain is “stretched” after this episode, so again, tremendous job, gentlemen, thank you, god bless you and keep up the amazing work 👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

Last time I did psychedelics God put me in hell. All my comfort was gone. Everything that hurt or bothered my in my body was in full force. I didnt have medicine to make it better. There was no water. I couldnt breath. My teeth were grinding to the point it was super painful. I knew I couldnt get help with anything. I could feel demons around me causing more pain and uncomfort in my body but I couldnt see them. I had no happy memories. My regrets were playing in my head over and over again. I was alone except for the demons I couldnt see. I was trapped in darkness and remembering the faces of everyone I love but I couldnt tell them sorry. It was intense. Once I came out of it I was so relieved to ease my pain. I was so happy I could hug and love my family. I was just grateful for everything and to still be in Gods presence. Ive believed in him my entire life but I was going to alot of festivals and around alot of new age witches. I think that was his way of warning me to stay away from all of that. Now I understand why seeing all my friends fall hard into Satanism. Great podcast!

Even the elect will be deceived because churches don't talk about the nephilim. Satan and his angels have powers, not the same power God has, but they do have dominance on this world by Adam's sin. I told my UFO believing husband that when the Bible tells me there are extraterrestrials , I'd believe too. It started with Nephilim in Genesis 6, and that's all I needed.

Howdy folks, is there a post explaining why the Church of Satan episodes were taken down? I presume legal action was threatened or something like that, but if this was discussed somewhere, I'd appreciate that. Additionally, I noticed some time ago that the opening theme of the podcast had a slight change with the removal of the female singer singing something I never could quite make out just prior to the "My name is Eddie..." part. Was that ever explained? It really seemed to work with the theme, so the change was pretty jarring not having it in there anymore.

@26 minute mark, talking about reservations. The original American Indian were polytheist pagans (e.g. devil worshipers) and then we cannot say with certainty what they are dealing with and that there is some other explanation other than the fallen host? It’s not rocket science.
@jvon0311 Жыл бұрын
@41 minute mark - because ancient civilizations had the ability to do things we cannot, that means what exactly? The premise that we in the 21st century are smarter and more advanced in all our ways is a Darwinian position (cave man to modern man). Adam literally had the Creator as someone he could communicate with on any topic. He had better use of all his faculties from day 1. We as people have slowly regressed from then… so it is no surprise that we are the cave man in light of our ancestors.

"Well that is what im praying, that you know the Lord personally like i do." That is the reply I got to one of my posts. Which brings me to my thoughts about prayer and how prayers don't work and never have! I come from a large religious family and have had that prayer for me said thousands of times during the post 30 years...not even counting the thousands of prayers I've received from the countless posts I've made. If prayers don't work does that mean your god is a lie? Or am I more powerful than the thousands of prayers said for me? Which...it can't be both!!d
@Groheg Жыл бұрын
No, I would say prayers do work. Just not the way you or I would like. I can't make up an answer for why under God's sovereignty he hasn't answered your prayers or mine at times, but what we can both do is find out if it is reasonable to believe in the thing we are praying to. Through my own research and study, I have found that to be Jesus. I don't know you, but I think it says something that your example for your post is about prayer not working, which is easy to dismiss and invalidate, and not about issues with textual criticism. Asking strangers on the internet why it seems like your prayers don't work while mocking God is a bit strange, you could be the best or the worst person in the world, how would strangers on the internet be able to evaluate your inner workings in relation to your perceived absence of God not answering your prayers?
@royhiggins7270 Жыл бұрын
@@Groheg You misstated what I said...which I believe is intentional because Christians do it all the time. It would make one believe Christians are dishonest. It isn't my prayers that haven't been answered but the hardcore true believers...thousands of them. Not only have their prayers for me to know the "lord" not worked it has made my perspective that God is imaginary even stronger.
@Groheg Жыл бұрын
@@royhiggins7270 You just said that you prayed, and I'm assuming that they appear to receive no answer otherwise it wouldn't make sense to put so much weight on prayers made on your behalf. Which makes what I had originally said still valid. It seems to me that you have a belief that God doesn't hear the genuine prayer of nonbelievers searching for him as clearly as those who are believers. ( I could be wrong but you have placed the emphasis on that of believers praying) Basing your belief solely on experience is dangerous, but so is denying truth based on never experiencing it. This goes back to my original comment, I can respect if you stated that you found the historical argument for Jesus' life to be insufficient ( although I disagree) but it's not very a good argument to say you don't believe in God because A,B, and C prayed for you and you didn't receive a divine revelation of some kind. TBH I've experienced a lot of baggage from my family and didn't take up my own faith until I began looking at the evidence. You sound like someone hurt you or believe God didn't show up for you the way you think he should have. Im just saying dot throw out the baby with the bathwater. If I misrepresented you I'm sorry, im writing my final right now and should have payed more attention.

Canada has the ogopogo. Like Scotland. But I would say it’s not like the lochness. This I think is leftover of the flood. Something trapped from the floodwaters retreating and the lochness is long dead. But the lake the ogopogo is in is deep and full of life. So basically a dinosaur of some kind. Bigfoot I’ve never thought of as a supernatural entity. The other things like the windigo and other things are deeply rooted in pegan religion. So always thought of them as spiritual things. So interesting thoughts. So maybe some things are natural. Some are a crossover? And some spiritual?

@apologiastudios I love that you guys have done this. The one that im super curious about is Ghost. And paranormal investators. Theirs tons of them out their. And tons of evidence of these things. Sometimes they find demons. Other times it seems like they end up dealing with people who died like in huge battles. Their not bad or good. I remember watching one where they went to an old civil war fort and having these things talk to them about what seems like this person's life. Their mistakes while on earth. I don't want to say they're ghost for say. More like an echo of a person who spent allot of time or had something horrible happen. Or many many people had horrible things happen to them in one place like the old war fort wo it created like a imprint or echo. Ive woundered a few times what these things are. If they are people who died without Christ and have to stay in these areas, watching their friends and family and everything they know and love die and disappearing. That would be torture to anyone. But yeah. I've been wanting to ask people with a better understanding of the Bible and biblical understanding than I do about this. And this seems like the perfect time to ask this question

A great image for the pre-christian world spiritually is found in the temptation of Christ. When the Devil offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world, they were his through the hold sin and the occult had on humanity. These competing kingdoms to an extent still exist, but Christ is crowned king of all and the Devil knows his end is near. So they are greatly robbed of their power and more so where the Gospel is believed and proclaimed. Rememeber the strong man? The devil is bound and chained along with the rulers, powers and principalities (ps 2).

The heart of American of founded on judeo Christian principles. As a British colony. Then because of taxes, not religious persecution or just reason, out of rebellion, America was founded. And we see then a history of horrendous treatment of the imego dei. Indigenous people, black people, Jewish, people, Irish people… and it unfortunately continues today. In my country we know and around the world American men are known for the mistreatment and procurement of sex of indigenous women and children. Fueling the international sex trafficking. So it’s physically murdering babies (which all western countries are guilty of) and spiritually murdering women and children through sex trafficking. I read a text book rescently on church history. From the beginning to covid. And also America is t even following what it was founded on church wise and politics wise. My opinions from viewing from the outside and lots and lots of reading.

I’m not sure that I’m quite following some of the claims that are being made here. For example, angels came down and had sexual relations with human women forming hybrid powers of the ancient world, and the idols of stone and wood that men have worshipped throughout the ages are in fact the embodiment of demonic entities. I don’t think that these claims can be objectively substantiated with the scriptures. In fact, there are many within the Reformed tradition that would refute these claims wholeheartedly. However, these claims, and other claims like these, have there strongest support in extra biblical sources such as the pseudepigraphal work of Enoch. I’m not saying that these things should not be talked about in the church, or even that the opinions declared in this video are objectively false, but I think that More caution should be employed when making hard and fast statements regarding spiritual realities especially when using pagan/occult materials and testimonies to support an opinion on the matter. It is a biblical fact that there is a spiritual reality that coexists with our own albeit full disclosure has been providentially withheld by God. Having said this, if satan’s job is to kill, steal, destroy, devour, masquerade as an angel of light, is the father of lies, and so to his minions, we need to be very careful when evaluating the myths, legends, pagan/occult testimonies, and even the testimonies of believers regarding any interaction with this unseen realm as there is more than likely deception/confusion at work. In the end, I love the thought provoking conversation.
