I've been a dental assistant for many years and whitened people's teeth. Whitening your teeth too often can cause your tooth enamel to dehydrate, and tooth enamel does not repair itself like skin or bone. (The commercials that say a certain brand of toothpaste 'repairs tooth enamel' is a lie.) Broken, fractured, and dehydrated tooth enamel can lead to tooth sensitivity, *staining* , cavities, PAIN ... If you must whiten your teeth, PLEASE do it in moderation, especially if you're young. ❤. Too much whitening can also have the opposite effect. It can pick up colour from blueberries, red wine, *coffee* , tea, red beets etc. Please educate yourself on extrinsic vs intrinsic tooth strain. Do your research. Not all dentists are created equally (seriously. There's good and bad. Careful of the ones offering cheap white teeth) There are dentists who actually care more about the patient than they care about making money, but most like the money. Believe me) ~ Love from your friendly neighbourhood dental assistant ❤️ ~

I wholeheartedly agree with that last statement, I had a hard time finding a good dentist who actually understood my situation. I had a lot of orthopedic issues/ surgeries growing up ever since I was 3 and my body had cannibalize my enamel while developing so my teeth came in yellow without enamel. Many dentists treated like every other kid who didn't brush but I actually tried taking care of my teeth even though it was painful at times. Finally found a nice one after 20+ years

@@shymickey6 Im no expert but ive done a little bit of research on this Your teeth's enamel have microscopic holes/pores in them called Dentinal tubules. Teeth they are usually filled with a fluid/jelly. This allows your teeth to feel sensations even though no nerves are close to the surface. Teeth whitening strips remove some of the fluid, which allows it to penetrate the tooth and bleach more than just the surface of the enamel (the fluid eventually returns) over whitening causes temporary sensitivity by removing too much from the tubules, but overall, teeth whitening treatments are safe for your enamel generally just make sure its approved by the ADA and FDA (Edited for clarity)

If you want whiter teeth but can’t afford whitening strips. Just use the 3% Hydrogen Peroxide at your local pharmacy as mouthwash. The first rinse for 20-30 seconds will rinse out plaque and kill bacteria (hence the foam) and the second rinse will have less bacteria so you basically just rinse a semi foam solution through your mouth for 45 seconds to a minute or until it starts to hurt which may only be 20 seconds. DISCLAIMER: the best way to get clean teeth is to avoid processed foods the more water or juice instead of sugary punches or soda/meatloaf and casseroles instead of McDonalds and processed bread. Will actually help limit staining off your teeth and prevent the bacteria in your mouth from spreading rapidly creating plaque and tartar. Which if you ask me is a win win. Less brushing, less cancer causing agents, less whitening. Hope this helps. And remember your ancestors ate hard uncooked food and never brushed their teeth and still had teeth until they were 28… were out here brushing at 5 so we don’t get gum disease at 5.5

A little of column A, a little of column B. White face makeup + pink lipstick really makes it stand out. I'm almost convinced it's a filter though, just because her teeth are uniformly dark yellow. All the teeth I've seen aren't that evenly colored unless they're whitened/false teeth. But still, she can get that fixed. You just gotta maintain what you have, and use whitening treatments. Off white/eggshell teeth look more natural anyway, I don't think she's that far off.
