Love the way the new bass player, the very talented and foxy bass player lay down the tight knit arse end for the ladys. The Surfragettes are soo cool! Love the music and they have nailed the style visually. Cannot believe they played the Cat's Cradle in Carboro. When I went to UNC in the early 70's Cat's Cradle was a trendy little back ally bar down in Carboro(back side of Chaple Hill). Doesn't look quite the same.

If you haven’t been since the 70s it wouldn’t be the same place. The current Cradle has been in its location since the early 90s.

@@chrisst8922 The gig is still being advertised in the UK at the New Cross Inn, that’s a venue in London. Have had similar comments about the gig on Facebook today from other guys who have like me bought tickets. Am going to contact the organisers as the Surfrajettes themselves never seem to post or reply to fans comments.

Thanks for the full show upload! Nice recording. I was originally planning to go to this show but ended up seeing them two days earlier in Charleston instead. I've been a little bummed that they haven't been playing any of their older originals the past couple of times I've seen them. Always a great show with them though.

What's with recordcastle's videos? He's recorded them at Philadelphia but poor guy's got something funny with his sound. He had much the same problem last year. Not that I'm worried about sonic quality too much but can't somebody help him.

@@BlueSky... If I recall correctly Danille (dark hair) was their 1st drummer, then Annie, then another blond whose name escapes me, then Annie again. Annie is on a lot of the early promo pictures from several years back. I believe Danille had a baby, but also appeared with them a few times after. As you can probably tell, I've watched ton of their videos and live shows through the years, lol

This group of young Surfrajettes have incredible intelligence beyond just talent. Touring Live, has it's benefits for Real Artists but I know how they sound on Spotify and 10x better than KZbinrs know. How many new subscribers do Sina and tiny, cute, awesome, Ellen get each month? 🤔Those Gals are real too but they have a Studio Setup and amazing mixing talent for the web and even mix serious work with others internationally. Darling, EllenplaysBass and Master Drummer Super Sina are international friends. Digital collaboration is the Future of Music. BTW: These gals know Seventies mind bending Rock. The new Suffrajetes are more fabulous then the old one( the lead and rhythm are wisely retained and interchangeable both are brilliantly exceptional musicians)... The percusion of the dynamic drummer and bassist makes them more like the original Ventures(Mel Taylor and Bob Bogle)

@@chrisst8922 Thanks. On reflection, I've been watching some of the other videos of them on this tour. I'm not sure if it's the songs, or the personnel but a lot of the song choices just sound like the same one after the other, and frankly the players look a bit like.... bored. I recall a couple of years ago, they had, for example, 'Too Much To Dream Last Night', and their own composition 'Cha Cha Heels' on the set list. For me, part of it is drumming. When Anna Liebel was there she brought a kind of New York, indy, sensibility, to the drumming. ( I don't know any other way of describing it ), economical and effective, that brought the best out of the songs. Also, I think they need to have a hard look at the quality of the current songs on the set list. Eg, 'Heart of Glass' is a long way from being one of the better songs that Blondie did, and it doesn't get better minus a singer.
