Love it . When I was 12 , my Aunt had a party line with 6 other households . We are so spoiled today . It cost more money to have a personal line . Plus more money for a push button phone vs a rotary dial one . Most people did not want to pay the extra cost , or couldn’t afford it . I love the song . Great Job !

Greetings Sgt Rock, thanks for watching. The sport of surfing is much more visible than surf music here in SoCal. Most people here don't know what surf music is. Venues that will have surf shows are few and far between. The SG101 convention was cancelled this year. The convention was supposed to have "Sir Bald Diddley" from England. The first time we've had an English surf band.

@@sgtrock8274 When Dave posted these archive recordings 5 months ago who could have guessed that the propagation of the virus in the Americas would still be preventing the group from building on last year's successes. When they are able to re-group we can only hope that they are able to get it together again and with the support of Hi Tide bring their show to Europe. They're still booked in Torimolinos in February. (it never happened) As far as the UK's concerned they must know that we're potentially one of their best markets. You may have noticed that when ordering records the UK is mentioned specifically, although that may be because the algorithm knows where I live. I think that when they arrive they'll have several advantages: Firstly they'll appear fully formed, all their development done. Secondly we don't have surf, tiki?? They'll be indie: Stone Roses, Smiths, Warpaint, Surfrajettes. It's on the radar, hopefully they'll still be a few venues. Thirdly and for me this is their biggest plus, their image will get them in a good place. Strictly Come Dancing has had the odd musical guest shoehorned in. Something MOR or soul, never rock. But yes I can see some producer with an eye on the visual aspect booking them for Saturday night prime time and I think they'd make a big impact. Do that right, on TV, just once and you break our market in one go. I'm toying with the idea of buying tickets for every gig. See you in Swindon.

Everyone, thanks for watching & commenting. The Surfrajettes were in California only once that I know of, last year. The played SG101 and Tiki Oasis in San Diego a week later. They mostly play on the east coast. An English surf band was to play at SG101 this year, but the virus cancelled it. Also, the SG101 venue for the last 3 years, Alpine Village, closed in April.
