I enjoyed the first more, I felt more of a challenge and it was more engaging, the enemies were unique at first and were pretty balanced for it, the second one I felt was easier but felt more rewarding and the was more of a campaign than opposed to The Surge

Man I did not expect this game to be this good. It's definitely the best souls like out there imo. The weapons are so unique and fun. I'm using the 2h that transforms into two one hands and having a blast.

My Tip: Learn Directional Parry! It will help you finish off enemies much master . It will also give you low-key gaming orgasms because it's goddamn satisfying, especially in boss fights. I used to be a 'dodge, attack, dodge, attack, wait for stamina, repeat' kinda player because that was easier. But I forced myself to learn and master directional master, which enhanced the already deep gameplay even further.

I’m still sad I found a enemy with a cool weapon on a bridge in the first map. I killed him but didn’t cut him and I didn’t get the weapon. He doesn’t respawn.

i didnt know he didnt respawn but luckily i cut the weapon off him. Its honestly probably my favorite weapon rn, a big 2 handed axe that can turn into two really fast weapons

I played 70 minutes and stopped. It was a few years ago. Now I have played the Dark Souls games, not the second one though. Elden Ring, Lies of P, and right now at the end in Lords of the Fallen. I feel like it is time for this one, so I downloaded it again. I think I will enjoy this game now, and I love sci fi stuff so that is great

What does energy efficiency do specifically?

Energy efficiency increases the effectiveness of injectables. Example: Medi voltiac injection. At a higher efficiency level, the injection will heal more health per use than at a lower level. For example: a mk 3 at energy level 38 will heal 226 health with 1 use. At a lower efficiency, it would heal less. The higher your max health, the more battery efficiency you will need. You'll have 4 batteries by that point, meaning 1104 healing just from a full charge. Couple that with 4 precharges, and you have 2208 healing ready to go. Also, at certain amounts of battery level, you gain an extra battery slot, meaning that you can charge up more batteries at once, allowing you to rapidly use and precharge your injectables. At battery level 25, you will have a maximum of 4 battery charges.

You may not enjoy it. I loved it, but it didn’t click for a lot of reviewers and people. There were definitely some big issues with the game that couldn’t be ignored (unbalanced armor sets, a couple cheap enemies that are reused frequently, and confusing level design).

I have someone of a random question regarding this amazing game. Can someone please explain how the dismemberment system works in this game compared to the first? I cannot seem to figure out when and how to cut off enemy parts. If someone could explain this to me so I can improve my technique I will greatly appreciate it.

The dismemberment is not different from the first game. Why you do it: You want an armor part (head, chest, arms, legs, weapon). And also it looks cool! :) How you do it: First, you lock on the enemy, and with the right stick, you select a limb you like. After several successful attacks on that limb, you'll be prompted to press and hold Square on PS4 or X on Xbox so that you can cut off that limb. Once you can pull that off too, the enemy will drop the armor part. You need to collect it to acquire that armor part. After you collect it, it will appear in the 'Construct' menu once you are connected to the MedBay. You need to construct it (if you have enough materials to construct) so you can actually wear it in the 'Gears' menu. Note: Even if you acquire an armor part and you don't need any armor parts, keep attacking armored limbs so you can collect materials to construct and upgrade armor parts). But if you want to finish off an enemy faster, attack an unarmored body part (highlighted blue). Hoep this helps! :D

@@blindmetalgamer When you lock onto an enemy, unarmored limbs are highlighted as light blue, while the armored limbs are highlighted as yellow / orange. I don't understand the second question :)

@@blindmetalgamer oh now I get it. If I'm not mistaken, yes finishing moves do consume battery. You can also observe it happening on your battery meter at the bottom of your HUD. But successful attacks give you tons of battery, so it should be fine.

@@steedo9102 you have to remember where locations are and be aware of your surroundings there’s not really a minimap to follow. There’s tons of shortcuts to make traveling to previous locations easier

The Surge 2, first boss throws 6 Molotov's has a drone that shoots missiles and has unblock-able spamming attacks......Tactic to beat first boss....Hit, run to the far opposite side of arena, hide, heal.....real great combat....most overpowered first boss I have ever seen in any game and I been playing games since The Nintendo 64 was the greatest console.

On console, you click the right stick to lock on to an enemy, and then you can move the right stick to target specific body parts. I could’ve sworn the game does tell you that, but I might just be remembering from the first one. I’m not sure how to do it on PC, though.
