The Surge Speedrun [NO GLITCHES/EXPLOITS] in

That's right, I got back into speedrunning The Surge! And I almost immediately cut half an hour off of the world record! This run was a lot of fun, and I'm still hoping for one with no deaths, but I've got my route down pretty much to a science and now it's just a matter of playing better and better until 1h 15m is possible. Theres actually a pretty cool lore theory that Warren could be the new Liberator since the audio logs around Creo are about the previous Liberator but mention there could be a new one. I dont know I thought it was pretty cool

The way you would have known about the "click L to run" is for console or at least ps4 that is generally the sprint button so most people will just assume it is the sprint button

@@GriffyWdaGrippy yes I did it in less than 2 playthroughs. I have a habit of over exploring so I always over level for fights and find all collections etc. but if you use a guide you could get all achievements in one playthrough plus one boss.

Another Souls-like I just suck at, but damn the innovation is there. Even things to make the game easy (block and dodge out of attacks), as well as cool ideas, but when fast attacks do half your health, it gets exhausting having to fight everything.

The Surge (1) is easily in my top 5 games ever. The Surge 2 is an improvement in terms of gameplay, but sadly a disappointment in terms of performance, and story. Still a very enjoyable game though. I wish they would make a third installment, but sadly, apparently they are going to make a different title instead. Super cool speedrun, showing me things I didn't know yet.

I thought dodging attacks meant you actually have to dodge them, not face plant them like whosyourdaddy is active. But thanks for telling me that. I'm gonna try it out. I'm so annoyed that you can destroy some of the arms and still get the spitfire v2! Almost all the wikis I ran across said you can't destroy *any* of the arms in phase 2 of that fight. My dude, I killed that boss without destroying any of the little annoying arms and that was a long few hours of my life.

Can't you kill the first boss in an easier way ? I mean, when it first launch his rockets, I was just standing on his feet and the rocket hit him, it goes down and you can hit him like few seconds before I did it in casual run, seems like working everytime !

Yes, but if you do it that way you don't receive the Pax Imperator v2, which you need for this run because of its extra damage and other improved stats. The v1 you get for defeating it in the standard way isn't strong enough.
