Years ago my neighbor raise them for release. He did it for the love of the birds. They are really gentle birds. I had one come to the house because she broke her leg. I took a popsicle stick cut it to size and in month plus the bird was good. The bird would hang around the house with the cat, dog, bull, steer, cow, and peacocks. This bird lived 3 years. Would either fly to you or just run to you. You could pick her up and she would stay on your shoulder. Really cool birds. She had many offspring. Real cool experience to say the least.
