To me this challenge looks so much fun as a fan watching. It also helps builds character IMO, we can see the strongest players and who can go the distance during immunity challenges while playing a TEAM CHALLENGE. Sorts out threats. Also there is so many different combinations of who the bag can go to and putting the strongest in the front or the back. It really just has everything.

Honestly the most iconic challenge in survivor history for me. I haven't seen some of the more recent seasons admittedly, but this is what I always come back to.

It would be interesting to see this challenge played with the current three-tribe format.

Honestly, the first tribe to catch the next would probably be screwed. Just due to the mayhem of trying to re-organize and work around however many people were in the eliminated tribe, the next place tribe would be in prime position to finish things off.

@@TheGenericDavis Possibly, but we've seen tribal challenges completely flip momentum in recent seasons.

@@palmshoot Sure, but they already try to balance things in challenges so that one tribe won't dominate another. The benefit of "Oh, this tribe needs to stumble over the whole other tribe as they get out of the zone/disconnect from the rope" would be an immediate game-winner. Much more than most challenges are.

I can’t help but wonder how different it could have been if Jeff Wilson hadn’t gotten injured just before this challenge in Palau.
