Why is it that people think it's enough to say to someone, "I'm sorry" after you've belittled, insulted, disgraced that person, and then you're arrogant enough to think that because youve said those words, the person MUST automatically forgive you and continue like nothing happened. The audacity of some people. So, you dumped me for another, that didn't work out, so you're back to say you're sorry and I just be glad to take you back and go on! Unbelievable!!!! Forgiveness is important, yes. When we forgive others, we don't do it for their benefit, but to free ourselves from the hurt they caused us, so we can move forward. However, forgiving doesn't equate to letting the person who hurt you, back into your life or your space. People need to understand and accept that.
