I was born in to MX as my moms brother was a factory pro in the late 70’s. I wasn’t allowed to race due to all of my uncles injuries, but had an extreme passion. The route I went was baseball and football. By my senior year I was a 6’1 270 lb DT. I’d slim down in Baseball and played first base. I ended up making it at a small Jr college in Baseball. Can I tell you the fun known in amateur sports was gone. The work needed to compete at even a Jr college level ripped away the fun that drove the sport. My point, is these guys are all great riders, but what they go through to to be the best is brutal. Only the strong hard working guys overcome what it takes to be there. Hats off to all of them. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

When a guy isn't trying you have to call him out. It's pretty simple to look at lap times and know. Have you ever seen what happens in the military? You have to be pushed passed what you think is your limit and believe you can succeed even when it feels like you're going to fail. Guys like Webb have that in them, that's why he can podium when he feels like he's dying. Guys who were supposed to be stars or were 250 champions that never win a 450 race, don't.

Hartdraft (pardon that I butchered his name) needs a break, and not like time off, but send the troy lee team to the hills or something to go freeride and gave fun with dirt bikes, like he said "im not having fun" it was wrong for the team manager to say thats bullshit, he's a kid/young man who in the end just wants to ride, and i think that's something that the factory guys sometimes lose, you'll get a lot more out of your team if you let the riders just go have fun with their dirt bikes once in a while
@weswilliams89404 жыл бұрын
This part didn't make the cut, so I want it to be fair to TK. That was the end discussion they had, that Tyler decided on himself. He walked over to Brandon and said, "Tell me what you want to do to have fun again. Want to go to Glen Helen with your girlfriend for a few days and just have fun blasting some motos? I'll gladly build you a 450 if that would stoke you up." Paraphrased, but that was the conversation. But look at what happened the following weekends... Brandon got back-to-back podiums. Hard to argue the logic and approach TK took. I personally don't think TK was that hard on him at all; just trying to help and get the best out of the guy.... which he did.
@pilsnerfamilymotorsports32754 жыл бұрын
