I had thought about one of those several years ago. I ended up buying a mid sized tractor with an eight foot finish mower. Glad I did. I use the tractor with bucket a lot more than I thought I would. I’m in Fulton Co. Pa. So it plows my drive, builds gun range and does so much more.

It’s awesome! Rachel and I were kicking around the idea of getting a tractor and a mower but then I got the Fortrax and couldn’t justify spending $20k-$30k when this was only $4,000 haha thanks for watching!

I got the same mower. I love it. But me an the wife both go out cutting. At the same time. To cut our 2 fields. An the problem was the small gas tank on the pull behind. I put a 5 gal tank on mine. We can get about 5hrs out of 5 gal. Were mowing 15 acres at a pop .

Thanks so much for producing a very informative video that I am sure has been very helpful to many in your audience. Based on SO MANY issues taking place right now in America around the world - the good old USA NEEDS to start making more and more products domestically. Good on you for buying a Made in America product that will likely work great for you many - many years.

Asking out of curiosity bc we have tht same motor on a 48” walk behind (they don’t offer a bigger deck with tht motor from Wht I saw). Is it bc it robs a lot of power running the hydro drives or just bc of having mower power?
@GunpowderandFreedom5 ай бұрын
That would be my guess, I’m not 100% sure but in my mind, the only thing the motor on this is powering is the blades and that’s why I went with this one. Thanks for watching!

Great video buddy! It looks like a beast of a machine that is really putting out some great results! Just awesome! I have a question for you. I've recently bought a used 60" Swisher pull-behind mower and it's just missing a gas tank. Would you have a link to the same gas tank that you have, on yours? I've looked around a bit and I think I've been looking in the wrong places because I saw replacement tanks for near $200. I think that's just a joke. Anyway, I hope you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Any backthoughts since you bought it? It just looks so - basically made.... so many bolts and thin rods.. I have VERY uneven terrain and two zero turns I had started falling apart in no time. I mow with tow behind flail but that is MICh and starts breaking down after 3 yrs and doesn't really mow well.. 5.5 acre to mow.. Thank you
@GunpowderandFreedom2 жыл бұрын
Oh ya! I still would but this again in a heart beat. A couple nuts came loose after the first 2 mows but I didn’t check them before I started mowing. After I tightened them, I used it 5 or 6 more times and everything was still nice and tight! Definitely recommend it 👍🏻 thanks for watching!

@@GunpowderandFreedom Appreciate response. I'd double nut every connection on it or put locking washers on plus loktite. Those nylon washers don't really good too well. Happy holidays

Thanks for sharing… Hey, one thing I noticed and find odd is that the pull bar shaft opening on the side of the mower (where it was attached originally) has a round shaft opening, but the shaft opening for mounting the pull bar in the middle is a square opening. Inserting a round shaft in a square hole isn’t logical to me. Over time, I think it will wallow out the connection point. If that’s how Swisher designed it, I’d give that my #1 negative concern. Just my opinion. Love your property… it will make a beautiful home site for your family 👍
@GunpowderandFreedom2 жыл бұрын
I’ll definitely keep and eye on that! Thanks for watching!
@georgehofgren6123 Жыл бұрын
The round insert of the pull bar fits perfectly in the square mount... while sometimes welds break on these mowers, or belts, that particular design is of no concern. People have run these mowers for 10+ yrs and i've never once seen any concern over that part of the machine. If you want your pto belt to last, engage the pto g-e-n-t-l-y. Belts act like a clutch. No belt breakage that way. Warm your motor up beforehand 👍

This 66" is pretty crazy expensive considering the 60" is far less. I can imagine pulling two of those with a decent small ride on mower so you have like 150" effective cutting width for less than a 72" mower.

No quality zero turn mowers have grease fittings in front spindles. They are tapered bearings and sealed top and bottom and full of grease. If you put a grease zerk on it you will blow bottom and/or top seal out.. Then you will realize that you should not have put a grease zerk on it.
@georgehofgren6123 Жыл бұрын
A zerk will not hurt it, tho you could just use a small bolt and pump grease thru the hole for it. While it won't help the Upper bearing in that spot, it has been found that grease Above a sealed bearing does keep the sealed bearing lubricated... As the oil separates from the grease over time, it runs down and into the sealed bearing. Generally blade pulleys is where that matters as they run fast and get hot ~
