This movie delivered such a great message aside from the legendary tale. Wish I had someone like Merlin growing up.. who would push me to seek out my education and actually give a crap about school.. as a young kid I never took studying serious now I work as a truck driver I make good money but I wish I could’ve done something with my life with more meaning .. always loved history and science but the lack of motivation and support in pursuing my dreams was low as a child and in Hs and never actually finished college.. I’ve always loved this classic Disney movie for that particular reason

Adult night classes and online classes are a thing friend. It's not too late to change course! I'm a secondary/high school drop out myself and currently doing a level 5/6 course. 5-7 is before collage, 9 is masters and 10 is a PH.D All that said, you can always go back to it. That's honestly the joy of it these days as unlike mainstream schools we put our kids through, you can choose your courses. Yes we have cores and choice subjects as well as Ireland making religion a non core in 2014, but still with a level 5 you have choice of specialty in terms of subjects. What branches of the subject you want a degree in. It's never too late to dip your toe into it degree wise and it never hurts to dabble in research and general knowledge.

It actually probably is, that "ventilation" makes for leaks and drafts, but it's not exactly like they had central air in the dark ages, so when the sun is beating down you probably appreciate that breeze and those escape paths for the heat.

Given, Merlin's statement that the "London Times won't be out for another 1200 years," the Sword in the Stone is extrapolated to take place in 585 CE, not too long before the Saxons began invading the British Isles (the one female scholar who died in 2004 argued that King Arthur existed, but that he was a Scottish chieftain and not a king of present-day England).

With Merlin knowing the future, the story of Arthur and being able to travel through time.. This would be a movie series where they could've said "Screw Guinivere and Lancelot. We know your game!" and changed Arthurs life for the better.

That would've been the case, had Merlin not been tricked by Morgana into teaching her all his secrets. Once she was done with him, she made him disappear into the void. Thus, Merlin's part in the story ends, before he had the chance to warn Arthur of what was to come.

I think Merlin is somewhat dumb when it comes to time, the movie somewhat seems to be set in between the Dark Ages and the Crusades, due to the Jousting, costumes, landscape, etc.

While this movie is based on T.H. White's book of the same title, apart from general plot, virtually nothing is according to the book. For example, Archimedes doesn't appear in the book, Merlin's animal lessons are different in the book, Pelinore is not a noble friend of Sir Ector but a self proclaimed king who saves Arthur in the woods which leads to Arthur meeting Merlin for the first time, Kay is a heroic character in the book while Sir Ector is actually the main villain. Madame Mim and all of the scene involving her were invented for this movie, Arthur meets Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Little John in the book and helps them fight a griffin along with Kay and other such major changes. Not to mention numerous other small changes which do not affect the plot of the movie.
