Can someone please tell me the little variation lick he plays at about 0:13-0:15 seconds? the last variation of the main riff before it kicks into the second riff. I can't seem to figure that exactly out. something like 8-6 on the low E, then 7-0 on the A string, then 0-5 on the A string? It's been bugging me for an hour.

His voice is alright on the records, almost sounds like Ozzy at times... but yeah, it's always been an adventure at best live. I wonder if that's partly the reason they switched their sound up to slower with less gain and rocking intensity these last few years, I've noticed he even sings the classics different now. Wish I coulda seen them in their prime. Oh well. We'll always have the records.

Seriously? Nobody sings exactly like they do on their records. Being on the road and putting on a show every night is way more stressful on your voice than sitting in an air conditioned sound booth. Not to mention the poor recording quality on this video. I saw the Sword a couple of months ago, and they killed it.

does an air conditioned studio make it easier on the voice? compared to singing outside?

@@aaronriedel1985 compared to a smoky ass bar or an open air fest, yeah for sure

Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's pretty bad. Probably wasn't a great night for his voice. Lol at the pagan song and pagan trucker hat.

yeah he consistently sucks at singing. good thing recordings exist so that we can enjoy the sword with his voice pollution.
