This is an excellent production. The sound effects are well chosen, add to the vision and don’t distract from the story. The narrator has perfect rhythm and enunciation. Just couldn’t be better.

The author of treasure island is what I remember lovecraft citing as his biggest inspiration.

@@lordmars2387 you can specially see Dunsany’s influence in Lovecraft in the names he uses, like ‘Sacnoth’ and ‘Mana-Yood-Sushai’ and his bible like language on his works. He also created his own mythology and gods that are hard to describe, there is also a goblin like creatures that seems to resemble Lovecraft’s zoogs.

@@DreamerFromBeyond the reading certainly has the cadence and flow that lovecraft used. Though I'm not scholarly enough to place those origins, this certainly sounds like it could be an influence. I remember the other author because of how incongruous it seemed at the time.

@@lordmars2387 Just look how similar their Main Deities Azathoth Lord of All Things, encircled by his flopping horde of mindless and amorphous dancers, and lulled by the thin monotonous piping of a demoniac flute held in nameless paws. Māna-Yood-Sushāī is a creator deity who slumbers after creating the gods; if his drummer, Skarl, ceases drumming for an instant, he would awaken and destroy the world. Both have gods that preceded the rest of the gods, they both sleep and both are destroyers once they awaken from sleep.
