I have a hunch about why that worked. Basically, someone probably coded it as if sharpnessLvl == 10 don't roll for upgrade but that only checks if it's exactly equal to 10, so if it's 11, this code doesn't work. What they should've done is check if the level isn't equal or more than 10

@@jacobramirez4894 ? a crit is a 1.5x damage multiplier and 15 * 1.5 = 22.5 which is indeed above the default minecraft max health (although in hoplite they seem to have a default of 40 health)

@@jacobramirez4894 according to the wiki, a version somewhere around 1.5 (they are unsure) they changed it from "+0% ~ +100% weapon damage + 2♥" (2 hearts is 4 damage like u said) and the modern day critical hit is a 1.5x multiplier (apparently all enchantments (eg. sharpness 5 which adds 3 damage) are NOT counted in the multiplier but potions (eg. strength 2 which adds 6 damage) are) didn't know enchants weren't affected assuming the midas sword is a diamond sword at base (if sharp 15 makes it do around 15 attk dmg and sharp 15 adds 8.5 damage and I think the game might round down and floor of 7 + 8.5 is 15) then without strength but with a crit that sword does 19 damage (somehow lines up with the number u got from adding 2 hearts haha) which is barely not enough to 1shot an unarmored player at full health lol that is, if ive done my math right and enchants actually do not count to a crit, which im too lazy to test atm
