Do you miss hearing the sounds of drums, cymbals and gongs from the lion dance troupes this year? Because of Covid-19 regulations, lion dances are not allowed to be held at coffee shops, food centres and markets, as well as residential homes.
We sat down with Stella and Jun Le of Shi Long Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe to find out more about what lion dance is, their experiences as lion dancers, and the impact of Covid-19 on the lion dance industry.

My former classmate/friend USED to participate in lion dancing annually during Chinese New Year. She had fun with it until she moved to Seattle, WA with her husband and became a mother to a baby boy.
