Idk if its just me or I hear the strokes influences in their songs. For example this one has the “The time has no end by the strokes” feel to it in the chorus.

The symposium are such big fans that they trash and slander the Strokes in multiple interviews, blatantly copying things (beyond being inspired by) from song created during now 19 year periods of The Strokes that the symposium claims they haven't created good music in. They immitate then disrespect in hopes to gaslight a distance from being seen as wannabe coverband, they even had to start their band name off with "The S", most people who have an awareness of the Strokes catalog, whom are aware of the statements made by the symposium, whom have an awarness of the differences in inspiration and imitation see through the plastic shell into whats really going down.

@@J242D They imitate The Strokes, yet slanderously speak ill about the music of the Strokes, especially (but not limited to) the period in which Ize of the World was written and recorded.

[Lyrics] Blazing like a locomotive racing down a little track Now you're facing the wrath of a man who wants his lady back Oh go and chase you up and down that road You better run son, 'cause here we come Grab your gun and go We're gonna chase you down Hey now, you're pretty brave now Kid, you're pretty bold Don't you get tired? You get scared running down the road We're gonna break you down Oh you can chase me But you're never gonna get your little lady back Or you can face me Face the only one who beat you in a bullet match I'm gonna take you down and down that road You better run son, 'cause here we come Grab your gun and go We've come to chase you down Up and down the road Up and down the road Hey now, you're pretty brave now Kid, you're pretty bold Don't you get tired? You get scared running down the road We're gonna chase you . . 𝑆𝑒𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑤𝑏𝑜𝑦🥀

ESPECIALLY due to the fact that Ize of the world came out during/within the 19 year period the symposium says that The Strokes hadn't" made any good music" in.

Most likely people wouldn't mind as much if the symposium didn't openly trash talk the music of the band they blatantly rip off. Car Seat Headrest also gets accused of stealing vocal style etc from The Strokes/Julian Casablancas, but not to the degree the symposium attempts to. Many people literally thought they were just sampling parts the Strokes songs.

@@pencilkid4063 You always gotta show respect to the OG's, especially if your going to barrow from them heavily. That's true with any art form and/or philosophy. Disrespect leads to discredit.
