This whole project is a bit above my head, but it looks fantastic non-the-less, and it gives me glimpses into things I can almost understand.

Hello You are right. It is a rather complex project. For this reason, there is a whole playlist just for it ( kzbin.info/aero/PLDB6La0aI3wSiyw5VEIBSqAQ75aJgIicj ). You may start from the project overview ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ2tqYZnds2abK8 ) and follow the subsequent videos that present in more detail all the modules. I will be happy to answer any clarifying question. Have a very nice 2024! Nikos

What are the supply voltages of the HEF4053B? How is it driven by the time base? Is there some kind of level shifting? Thanks
@nikos443172 жыл бұрын
The supply voltages of the HEF4053B are: Vdd = + 6 V, Vss = 0 and Vee = - 6 V. You can see the 7806 and 7906 regulators in the video. They are fed by + - 12 V. The ATMega163 of the time base drives the base of a 2N3904 transistor through a 10 KΩ resistor whose emitter is at 0 V. The collector is brought to the HEF4053B S1, S2 and S3 pins and a pullup 10 KΩ resistor is connected to + 6 V.

@@nikos44317 Thank you. And how do you tune the correct delay for optimal operation of the synchronous detector?
@nikos443172 жыл бұрын
@@nikosar100 It is simple: first you disable feedback in order to enable larger signals. Then you use a two channel oscilloscope to see at the same time the signal to be detected and the drive of the synchronous detector. Finally, you adjust the dip switches until the two traces are in phase!
