lol he got some things wrong. Ten hag don't have his striker drop deep to be a midfielder in a defensive press. The clip he used to state his point relates to when diff players end up in another's position (hojlund as a winger) and they are covering the positon until the game is paused or until they have the option to switch back to thier main position.

However, the problem with playing in this 3-4-3 system with these dynamics is that it requires a team that has well-established processes, is smart enough to understand the movements of its own players, and has above-average intensity. If you watch Sporting CP’s games, intensity is their strong point... all the players are constantly moving, both offensively and defensively, whether closing spaces or creating passing lanes. The Manchester United team, however, lacks half of this understanding, and not even a third of the intensity. Therefore, they will face a long and difficult task ahead. It’s not just about tactical knowledge; it’s about having the commitment and the energy to execute such a demanding system. Without this, no amount of training will quickly fix the gap in performance.

Amorim already said this. To achieve that, there will be painful results until the players get it (I hope eventually). Don't expect a good season. This will be painful to watch any Man United games in the next couple of months. I hope Amorim don't adjust just because his players can't do it (we hire him for his Sporting style of intensity anway).

In Portugal the bigger teams play with a high defensive line with diferent zones of pressure depending of the opposite team tactics and quality, in big games the midle block is always used in order to shorten the space to teams with high quality players with the ball versus playing against some top teams in Europe, in this case the pressure begins in the second line.
