@tangofoxy5781 what a wonderful comment and very kind sentiments! Taj is definitely very humble and his family is exactly the same way. I spent some time with his dad that week when I did the interview and his heart is definitely in the right place. I was happy to give Taj that slide - I’m sure he will be able to play MUCH better with it than I can! :-) I interviewed a bunch of other guitarists that same weekend and I have been posting them on my channel - I’d love to hear what you think, and any tips or ideas you have for future videos too.

Taj at 14 is already light years ahead of so many other guitarists in that he’s already discovered how to just play what he feels . He stated exactly what Stevie Ray Vaughan once was quoted ,” I don’t think when I play , thinking about where I’m going just gets in the way , I just let whatever I’m feeling come out through my hands at that moment”. We recently saw him Play live here in Ramona California, and he stated before playing that he had been sick only a day or two in advance and apologized if he was off a bit on his playing . If that show was a bad show for him , all I can say is Watch out world . Simply amazing show . The sky is the limit young man, enjoy your life , and THANKS for just being you . And also Thanks to your Family , your Dad & Mom & sister Jazel were all great to meet & see & talk with . 😎👍

@@johnsguitarlounge Yes, definitely looking forward to seeing whatever you post 😎👍. And Taj is a very grounded & humble young man . I’ve been following him on social media’s now for almost 6 years , and have been just amazed at his rise in stardom. As AC/DC once sang ,”It’s a long way to the top if you wanna Rock ‘n roll”. He’s doing it HIS WAY , and according to his Dad Brandon at least ,wants full control of his destiny. I’m Damn proud of him , steering clear of major Labels and such that only want what’s best for them ( mostly ) and not what’s best for their artists it seems . He’s already on his way to conquer all obstacles, and I see him only getting more recognition in future . 🤞🙂
@johnsguitarlounge7 ай бұрын
@stephenmiller5023 you said it! Labels will ruin him. Who’s the most successful blues artist today? Joe Bonamassa. Why? Not only his amazing talent, but because he has his own label, releases his own music, owns his own songs, and stays authentic.

@@johnsguitarlounge I can't play anymore at 57 my Rheumatoid arthritis is just too bad. I started playing at 5 because my much older brother was taking lessons. So I had the attitude anything you can do I will do 100% better. My brother stopped playing because I surpassed him by the age of 10. He was 19. I used to sit in with a band by the name of The Badlees . I was friends with the band.Playing for me was a just because I want to play type of thing. Being a ER nurse was what truly made me happy. Playing the guitar was just fun. Shooting pool, jumping out of airplanes and learning to fly gliders and getting a pilot's license was fun too.
