The Manaha was meant to punish the Shaman for his evil ways and that's what was done.

@andrewcolinwilson No, the shaman created the Manaha so no one would dare to go into his forest... The stone is what put him back in there cause his people cursed it for him to say in that cave for all eternity... Didn't you see the end when he commanded the manaha to show themselves and it was his friends, not the real manaha ;)

@DakariKingMykan The shaman maybe dead in body but not in spirit, plus they pass that knowledge down before they pass away & make their journey to the spirit world. Some say curses last forever... but thats in theory ;)
