I saw the feature length cartoon 2 or 3 times on TV around 45 years ago. Bai Suzhen brings the flower of life to temple. But the Magician Fahai is waiting for her and a battle ensues. As a mortal women she is no match for him and is close to death. Seeing the flower of life Fahai realizes she has surrendered her immortality and does not end her life . Her love Xu Xian is restored to life and Fahai blesses their union as mortal man and wife after years of separating them. This an unusually happy ending version of the legend of the white snake.

no prob. Glad to help. I seen this when I was about 9 or 10 at school. The only part I really remember was the panda being pounded down into the ground by the pigs fists, then the panda got out of the hole and defeated the pig. And the part where the wizard is on a boat in a storm and throws his crystal ball into the water to save a girl or something like that from drowning. Maybe there are different versions. But then I may not be remembering it right, being I am 47 now. So that was about 37 years ago. hah. I didn't even remember the name of the show. But I finally found it! I guess it really had a lasting impression on me. I had been searching for this show for many years and just found it yesterday.

Hi John and Disneyfan. I had the same experience with this movie. Saw it when I was in kindergarten (!) decades ago and it made such a lasting impression. Finally tracked it down about 10 years ago when I was living in Paris and it was shown at a little film house.
