It was a good thing that I watched both 77c premieres today and all for a good reason too. The fact that this episode ties in with the ending of RTR S3 EP1 and Bradford Aaron Bastard getting to make an appearance were all things I was not prepared for. It also seems to me that Reggie is going to have a very wonderful time getting along with the rest of the fat express club and might tell everyone about Blaenberries or whatever he’s called. The mainline run with Hercules that Reggie got is definitely something that Clint, Virgil, Seb, Gladys, and the Scottish dock shunter (if he’s even on the Eastwood Branch) are going to be jealous of seeing that they are barred from leaving their part of the line (if Mr. Dickinson knows about the Terrier) and being able to go out on the mainline, but we already know that Clint survives and becomes a movie star (just like the actor he’s named after :D) so we’re going to have to assume the same thing happens to the others. And finally, Shawe is literally going to crack open when he goes into that colliery. I mean, if he’s that much of a pussy to avoid going into that place and get tortured by the NCB bois then we have to get Wyvern and wagon full of hypnotic coal in order to get the goods tank inside. Overall, it was a very brilliant episode and one that will watch again when I have the time to.

I'm loving all the recent content coming out of the 77C universe. This episode especially was a nice tie in to Rails to Refuge, being very well done with lots of great moments. Seeing Stard again after the season 2 finale was a relief to say the least. Hart Hall still being his villainous, pompus old self, clung to Mr Knox's leadership and out to see Stard fall further down. Out of all the BR loyalists, he seems to be the one with the least chance of being redeemed given all he's done and how little remorse he's shown. It will probably be awhile, but I look for foward to his deeds finally catching up with him. Hercules and Reggie were a good pair to see interaction, hope we see more of them together in the future. Clark and Pliot always managing to make me chuckle as well the banter between the cathedrals. That ending scene with Reggie and 8024 caught me by surprise and has me interested to see them interact with each other. Can't wait to see more from 77C, it's looks like it'll be amazing! Edit: Just saw the post-credit scene and it has me on the edge of my seat. Shaw is clearly stuck in the middle of everything and it's now time more than ever to pick a side He wants to be useful and not be scrapped, but being forced to work at a Colliery is where he draws the line. It's nice to see him have second thoughts about all this, but it's clear under Robert he'll be forced to do things he won't like. At the same time however, he's burnt alot of bridges. He can't run back to Lord Stovell for fear of consquences of his actions, everyone having some hatred towards him due to his manipulation of Rook and his incident with Dave and the Pullman, which to his knowledge the latter was all his fault. On the topic of Rook. I have a feeling as word hits the branch of Shaw's return, he'll flock to Alfredston to make sure he's okay. This is where he may finally see that Shaw wasn't helping him out of the kindest of his heart and only did it to further his own survival, which could cause the one engine who still respects and admires him to abandon him, leaving him all alone with only Robert to turn to, spiraling further down his dark path.

This was nice to watch after finishing the latest Rails to Refuge episode, it really is. Also, a great post-credit scene! I think Shawe might not be a loyal to Robert as I had thought, he really didn't like the thought of going back to the coalfields. It seems like he's only going to listen to Robert now out of fear, now that he knows what Shawe is afraid of.

Another fantastic episode - it was really enjoyable to see some more adventures with Hercules off the island once more. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Rails To Refuge. The dynamic between Hercules and the others is always so intriguing to watch, particularly has small outburst with Hart Hall. The amusing incident of the Dexby kidnapping at the beginning with Hammond had me in absolute stitches XD. I am very curious to find out more about this Hades fellow - a class mate of Hercules perhaps? A black sheep of the Night Owl family? So much intrigue. I am especially keen to see how Shaw (or should that be Daniel?) gets on up at Bloodmoor and facing his old anxieties with working in a colliery. Robert here shows him self to be somewhat malicious in his manipulations, and it does make me fear for the fleet and island itself in future when and if the railway falls into his hands. I would be really intrigued at some point to see a map of the island if you have one - I’m really curious as to how the lines and locations are laid out. Cheers and keep up the amazing work as always Andy!

So many characters it's hard to keep track of everyone but I enjoy the references and the continuity with the 77C shows it makes it feel more connected and the owners/ managers and their families and the connections and relationships with each other really help make it easier for us fully understand each episode who knows all the humans probably have parties or talk to each other daily its personal relationships between the engines and the humans that makes our world seem less fun because I would love to talk to engines but that's probably for the best. I really enjoyed the next cathedral being introduced it's sad that the ones owned by BR won't survive and that's the hard part for me I know deep down that the characters we love now won't survive unless it's mentioned in TDRS but that's the interesting part that we don't know because they are in separate periods which makes it harder not everyone survives that's just nature but I enjoyed this episode and I hope I will continue to be impressed with all of your future episodes❤

@@SteamingWestwardsProductions I have a stupid hypothesis about how Stard found out about Reggie's failure and why nobody tried to kick him out of the workshop. In Rails to Refuge Season 3 Episode 1, Dark Days, the passengers complained about being late when Reggie's inner motion broke. What if one of the passengers in question was a representative of the foundry that supposedly made the motion linkages that snapped? If so, he'd be rather freaked out since the replacement parts that snapped clearly weren't up to Mr. Stard's standards. After all, would you want to get sued for making damaged goods? Sure, someone is going to tell me that BR was in charge of replacing worn parts on Reggie. Unless I'm mistaken, Reggie is PRIVATELY OWNED, meaning that BR doesn't pay for his repairs, Mr. Stard pays unless BR has agreed to foot the bills. As such, Mr. Stard would have had quite the conversation with the guys who made the spare parts. Stard: "I'm telling you, the debris I yanked off my engine was certainly not the good stuff that you promised me several months ago." Foundry Rep: "My men have gone over the part you extracted and found it is certainly not one of ours." Stard: "Excuse me, are you calling me a liar!?" Foundry Rep: "No, sir, I am saying that our parts appear to have been stolen and replaced with inferior lookalikes. Someone in that workshop is playing games. Our parts are given markings and serial numbers, the debris has not even a single marking to indicate halfway inspection in our facility. Even worse, I would swear that the broken parts were originally meant for a pig iron mockup of a King Class engine." Stard: "So, you're saying that..." Foundry Rep: "Yes, BR pulled a fast one on both of us. I would sue that stuck up man, Mr. Knox, but we don't have enough evidence to prove he had a hand in it. All we know is that someone replaced our goods with pig iron." Stard: "Why that dirty son of a B---h!" After this conversation, Stard pulls a fast one on Knox, blackmailing someone at the works. Someone who hates Stard. Worker: "You can't do anything to me, mister FORMER controller! I'll call Mr. Knox and he'll jail you for sure!" Stard: "Either Redwick Cathedral can leave for an overhaul, or Lord Dexby and I will personally see to it that you and whichever assholes paid you to sabotage me sleep with the fish tonight." Worker: "As if that stupid gravel-magnate's going to..." [Sees Lord Dexby's Maus tank] "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Dexby: "Drop the cutting torch and nobody gets shot." Worker: "You lunatic! Nobody's going to let you get away with this!" Eastwood Branch Volunteers, all brandishing pitchforks, brooms, and axes: "Who are you calling 'Nobody'?!" Hopefully Stard gets enough cash to buy his own tank or railway howitzer. That way, Knox can't mess with Stard's privately owned lines. Did I mess up anything?

You know, im going to be honest, this was my least anticipated 77c content of the week end this came out. But honestly I was completely shocked by this being my favorite. Hercules, bloody hell, Hercules. As someone who hadn't seen tugs and therefore doesn't know his tugs equivalent this makes me want to watch tugs just to see it. Secondly wyvern is brilliant, hes such a funny character. His random out bursts and brilliant side gags are make my days. Renwick, just Renwick. Poor bastard. Hart hall, without a doubt for me, is the best 77c villain. He's one of my favourite characters to hate but im very interested to know who hades is. I'm assuming hes another night owl. Riley smashed it in the music department, my favourite piece is probably when Hercules sees redwick at the works. Its heart breaking. It makes me feel so bad for a engine as young as him. Clark. Thats all, Clark. Over all I've been happily proven wrong. This episode has made me extremely excited to see the rest of both seasons of RTR and TONW

Robert really needs to consider what he is doing. first of all he is manipulating all of the engines and I'm changing my stance on Rook. I definitely think after the experience he's been having with Robert that maybe he sees what Mr stavell is doing as the right thing and finally Begins on the standing what he was doing was wrong. I definitely think it may be too late to rebuild the Bridges that were burned down right away but maybe if he can prove his willing to change and the engines actually give him a chance maybe he can change. I also think that Hercules is 100% Justified in hating that hall! She definitely needs to be sent for scrap next! and he holds the Honor for being the first steam engine that I think needs to be scrapped! all of the others including King Richard I think do have a chance for Redemption. but him? sent him to Swindon to be scrapped and melted down! I also love that The Tales of New Wessex And the rails of refuge are taking place at the exact same time giving us different viewings of how much British railways is affecting not only itself but other people around it. I personally think British railways failed because of its management style and not allowing other people to have the autonomy that is needed to people that actually know what they are doing. both of these railways need to be separated from British railways in order to be their best! and yet British railways continues to try and put their thumb down on them and keep them still and understand control. but you know what they say about putting an animal into a small cage. it will eventually break out. but I definitely think the greater threats is Robert in this series. he is putting himself in quite the awkward position by manipulating everyone just for the so-called “ good of the Railway”. I think somebody needs to punch him in the face before reality and with his own actions. financial stability does not come from making the necessary cuts. it comes from understanding the railway itself and why it works the way it does. it doesn't come from just looking at things within the books.
@jacobmoss6830 Жыл бұрын
Bearing in mind how we know Robert is running what becomes Samarinian Railways by the early 1980's and we also know that lord stovell passed on information to Robert about what's going on up north. I think it's safe to assume lord stovell knows exactly what Robert is doing and also that Robert is basically setting BR and the engines loyal to it up for a massive massive PR disaster. Then the islands engines led by him and his father can swoop in and save the day, shaw can get redeemed by doing so in the eyes of everybody and BR is forced at gunpoint (figuratively obviously although with Lord Dexby involved that could be literally) to grant the islands railways independence.
@sirmatsdubois2509 Жыл бұрын
@@jacobmoss6830 that would actually be a very good subversion of expectations. I mean having Robert act this way in order to doop British railways would be a masterful plan. but it would be hard to justify what he has been doing as something that he has been planning with his father because it does seem like he harbors some sort of resentment towards his father for how he's running things. but then again that could be all part of the big plan the two of them have.
