I just want to say, I've been a Tallest Man on Earth fan almost his entire career. I just saw him live last month in Pittsburgh and I absolutely couldn't possibly be any happier for him that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. He's an absolutely incredible song writer that should be winning all the awards.
@GIRLonMW25 жыл бұрын
So lucky to have been a long time fan! Congrats. This song is truly amazing. Did he perform it when you saw him?
@deputydon5 жыл бұрын
@@GIRLonMW2 unfortunately he did not. I believe he followed kzbin.info/www/bejne/emeQZZ-Gd7qjmrM the same setlist as this video. I was a little upside that this song, Walk the Line, and Into The Stream were left off. But he was so amazing live I ultimately didn't care. I loved it. I've always described his song writing as 'painting a work of art.' He's so descriptive with his words and his voice is used as an extra instrument. One of my favorite verses of his goes as follows: "Oh I was sent to find the lonesome place Where I was lost but left a trace By carving riddles on the lonesome vine Oh but rumor has it that I wasn't born I just walked in one frosty morn Into the vision of some vacant mind" That's from the song Burden of Tomorrow and it's absolutely beautiful.

This musician has inspired me to write an instrumental titled Appalachia in the last year. This song has such an earthy, bluegrass folk type feel to it. Really cool. Thanks for producing this song ! Peace, Paul Edwards

@pauledwards39922 жыл бұрын
Hey Appalachian home girl. I totally agree ! The style of music is so Appalachian I could of swore this musician was from that area. I think he's from Sweden if I'm not mistaken. I have Scottish ancestry so a lot of the Appalachian music resonates with me. Many Scottish immigrants came into the Appalachian area in the 1700s and formed this kind of music as a mix of blues and Scottish influence resulting in Appalachian music. It's just amazing music for sure ! Take care.

I never heard of the tallest man on Earth or this song Until Infinity started playing it over and over and over again on the MSNBC and it sticks in your head and I had to know what the lyrics were which brought me here to this video. When was this guy making music and why have I never heard of him before. I thought it was an old hillbilly from Appalachia singing and was surprised to see a young man. Great song. Thanks Infinity. I'll never buy your car but I thank you for the song and the lady in the red bikini. She sure has a lot of energy

As someone who is mainly into harder stuff like Punk I'm surprised I'm so fascinated by this song, maybe its cause it reminds me of my childhood. As someone who grew up in Tennessee around country, folk, bluegrass, etc this is definitely nostalgic for me, thanks The Tallest Man on Earth for making such a awesome song. But then again maybe it's just something I was bound to enjoy cause I definitely have a wide taste in music EDIT: I just now came back to this wonderful video after having an odd craving for some mysterious song, glad to have found it all over again and for the magic to still be the same. I was very young when I made this comment. I was getting ready for church one morning and heard the song on some luxury car commercial, searched until I found it. I’ve grown into manhood but the young man inside of me still comes out and shares some of that sweet nectar whenever I come back to this. The girl is long gone, the money is tight, but I still have the beauty of music to help keep the spirit alive.

Have you ever seen the far side Of a mountain swallow the sky As you travel through the valley And as your speedin' still far behind Through the valley where lovers climb Have you ever seen the locust Lean his wings right after a plague Like ascendin' of a dark cloud In the sunlight to end the day To kill the sunlight, to end the day Yes it will follow the rain Have you ever seen the quiet Indecision of a man When he's standing by the fire With an eager friend in his hand Will he ever quite understand That it will follow the rain I said oh my friend It will follow the rain Have you ever seen your baby Getting caught by the lonesome wind And the whistling round the corners Telling you they have let her in Separation can now begin Yes, it will follow now the rain. I said oh my friend. It will follow the rain I said oh my friend It will follow the rain Have you ever seen the far side Of a mountain swallow the sky, As you travel through the valley As you're speeding still far behind Through the valley where lovers climb Where the children will blink and sigh They have caught a lightning strike In the jar just to watch it die In the valley where lovers climb Yes it will follow the rain I said oh my friend It will follow the rain
