Buona sera Nanni. This is a very mentally stimulating build, the mechanics are typical Tamiya, just more in depth. Having fun with this one, it’s been very good for my mental health, helping me switch off from stress of work. As for the pandemic, my wife, my sone and I, have all be vaccinated 3 times now. Still being careful but, we’re all going to have to live with this virus. I still believe this is a man made virus, developed in the laboratory, which was leaked out by careless handling or procedures. I also don’t believe it’s all one country’s fault either, there is funding to the laboratory involved from overseas investors, that are also to blame for this virus… well, that’s my view and opinion of course, I do have physical proof or and evidence. But the COVID is being scaled down to epidemic status. Sorry to ramble 😀. Take care, keep well and all the very best to you and the family 😊😉😊

Hiya John. Looks like a great build so far. All the steps well explained by your good self. You were talking about what motor to use in the previous video. I would recommend a 4000kv brushless and 3s lipo to pep it up a bit. You could do jumps with it then. What could be more fun?! 🙂 Anyway, happy Sunday to you mate.

Hi Pete, thank you for watching my video. The Scania is certainly a great build. Hmmmm…..Pete the brushless POWER man! I can just imagine the Scania with a brushless power pulling a trailer at insane speeds! 😂🤣😂. Sorry Pete, I’ve gone for more Derek’s speed with this one 😁😉. I’m going to do another model with brushless power though 😉. On this one, I’m going more scale like manoeuvring and performance, got a Carson Truck Puller for torque and had to purchase a FlySky FS-i6S radio. Have a great Sunday too. Take care, keep well and all the very best to you and the family. 😊😉😊

@@JF-RC Haha it would be quite funny to see it flying past at 40mph with the trailer! Ok I'll concede that slow and steady is the way to go with this one. Hi Craig, thank you for watching. It certainly does get going quite quickly. The typical Tamiya step by step guidance is very clear, just a lot more pieces straight out of the box. @@RCVHX22 hi Xavier, thank you for watching. These trucks are a real master piece. The electronics aren’t too bad, once you get to understand what the MFC-03 unit can do. Hi Mark, I hope you’re keeping well. This is a very mentally stimulating build indeed and has been really good for my mental health. Hmmm the watch thing, well believe it or not that is the iWatch series 3 (I don’t buy the most up to date Apple products, you can spend a fortune!) anyway, this iWatch links to my iPhone SE2020 model, which I use to film. I can control the iPhone camera from my iWatch as a remote, it’s really quite clever stuff. (To be honest the iPhone and iWatch combination is a great life tool too, they talk to each other for messages, I can even use the iWatch as the phone, a bit like Kitt and the Hoff! Sorry, rambling. The trucks got a 3 speed gearbox too, awesome work of art. It’s kind of you to say I’m getting good at the instructional side of making videos, I’ve learnt from great guys like you my friend. I’ve been working on this Scania since Dec2021 now, just got to the setup stage of the electronics and a driver figure to get completed. Oh, Tamiya said that you have to remove the seats and dash to fit the MFC unit, well…John wasn’t having any of that, so I’ve figured how to get the driver, seats, dash and MFC unit all in the cab, can’t have a driverless Scania R620 truck 😉😊😉😁 take care my good friend, look after yourselves, all the very best to you and the family 😊😉😊

Hi John having trouble trying to work out how I fit the MFC03 control unit to the R620 build at stage 29. Can you help please. Thanks
@JF-RC2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, thank you for your message. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but I managed to mount the MFC unit forward of the original mounting posts, with the LED cabling under the dashboard, and the main ESC side of the MFC unit rear wards. I used the mounting tray P3 as the platform still, just drilled two mounting holes in P5 part forward of their original position, that means that P3 is also lower on the P5. Hope that helps, take care and best wishes 😉😉😉
@alanhoundsome98432 жыл бұрын
@@JF-RC Hi John appreciate your help but as a novice builder I was hoping I could use B8 with B13. I assume I split the actual Control Unit & insert the face through B8. Is that feasible? I am confident in following the instruction manual but there does not seem specific section covering this component. Anyway many thanks. Your videos are very clear & precise.
@JF-RC2 жыл бұрын
@@alanhoundsome9843 hi Alan, sorry bud, you’ve lost me B8 & B13 parts? The B parts that I remember are the 3 speed gearbox half’s B1 and B2 on the Scania R620? I promise you, the MFC-03 unit fits on the P3 tray and you are able to screw the P3 tray to the P5 in front of the stand off fixing points on the P5 (at step 35). Just need to mark the P5 using the P3 tray as a template. I believe I was only about 10 - 15mm in front of the P5 stand off points. I left the MFC unit intact. Take care and best wishes 😉😊😉
