The Tarot Keys of Your Birthday (Tarot and Astrology, 1941)

Tarot and Astrology: The Pursuit of Destiny by Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck was first published in 1941. We’ll be working with the astrological correspondences for the cards as covered in the text. Since a copy of the book can be difficult to source, a great alternative reference source is Tarot Correspondences by T. Susan Chang. Links to both books are provided below.
In this episode of Sightsee the Tarot, we’ll be journaling through the tarot keys corresponding with our date of birth. Through analysis and self-reflection prompted by these cards, we’ll be answering six questions for ourselves:
1. What are the main attributes of your personality?
2. What are your natural strengths?
3. What are your natural weaknesses?
4. What is your one major character flaw?
5. What gifts, talents, or skills do you have to contribute to the world?
6. What is your life purpose?

I have to say that this truly has been one of the more informative installations in this series for me, seriously, I had to pause and rewind so many times with a look on my face like I had seen a dolphin driving in the cab of an eighteen wheeler because of how uninformed about Astrology I am; no matter, i'm completely psyched to be perplexed, because Tarot is opening up so many avenues of the divine! I'm so grateful for all the content and hard work on this channel and on this series, I mean it really shows, and with gusto; but I also have to be so so grateful to all the Authors and contributors of Tarot! I'm going to thank them by learning what they have to offer... by buying their books of course...but simply because what they have to offer is the message of the lodestar jewel, that impetus of creation, the tools of the seeker and the formative inspiration of the true heart of life seemingly hidden in nature. Combining both makes for a more in depth and well rounded experience. Gives my astrological knowledge another dimension. My cards in order are Chariot, Fool, 3 of cups. Queen of cups, Ace of cups... all cards that come up in my readings frequently... all makes sense now!

I love this process of delving deeper into the subtler electro-magnetic signature of our sun sign. I was intrigued enough by the subject of Muriel Hasbriuck’s book that I bought it. I am shocked to find that she attributed KEY 12 to SCORPIO! That’s such a glaring and fundamental error; but I appreciate her writing and wisdom and will simply have to overlook the big wart on her nose. I contacted the publisher in the hope that any future edition will be corrected.

Hello I recently found your channel and have enjoyed it. I did purchase your second edition of the Spirit Keeper deck and I love these cards ❤ I have a question regarding the hand outs for this video. I am a Scorpio & the chart shows Earth as Scorpio element and Ace of Pentacles as card. But the information above chart says it’s a water sign and to use Ace of Cups. If you see this I would love clarification please ❤

Hmm, that awkward moment when you write for the life purpose question in neutral interpretation "Filtering knowledge to distribute among others" and for yourself - immediately think "IDK, lol, actually find a girlfriend ?" ... mental facepalm ... ( Of course I didn't write that in the journal, I wrote "IDK, maybe find one [life purpose]" ). Lovely video ! I like it a lot and while doing personal part some things came up that I totally could have picked up in the cards or heard the cards referenced in that way, so it's a nice way to get a mental image with practical or physical reference point based on oneself. What I also popped into my mind, this could go along well with the 16 personalities - get an overview from the cards and find personality that matches the description most closely and maybe pick up a few other details from there. Friends and famous people can serve as a good practice, probably.
