Hypnotic song. The keys part really draws me in. They have some killer live footage. A concert DVD from Australia is really good. They must be stripped down from all of the production elements, but still sound big and full live.

They are great live, but I last saw them on the tour previous to this album, which was stripped down and had them playing many different stringed instruments. I never saw them after they incorporated all the technology.

What is it about Canadian rock bands writing so much about dystopian worlds anyway? I mean, we have a pretty nice country up here, all things considered. As long as Trudeau and his clown car government are voted out of office with a couple of year’s time, we should be able to avoid a truly dystopian future. All it will take is a couple decade’s worth of austerity policies (adopted both by the current opposition party and Trudeau’s own party (sans Trudeau)) to repair the damage. We have a blueprint to follow too. It’s exactly what happened after Trudeau’s father drove the country into the ground with debt, taxes, and widespread government intervention into the economy!
