The Team is Hooked from an Afternoon on the NRS Inflatable Kayaks

'Twas the first day of summer, so we celebrated with an afternoon of very serious product testing. We locked the shop doors at 5pm and minutes later, we were at the junction of the Tumut and Goobarragandra Rivers with our two inflatable NRS kayaks; the Kuda and the Pike.
The thing we love most about inflatable kayaks is their portability. Inflatable kayaks pack down to fit in a large backpack and are considerably lighter than traditional plastic kayaks, which means they are easy to put on the roof of a vehicle when left inflated. The NRS inflatable kayaks have the look and feel of a hard plastic kayak without the weight and size logistics.
The NRS Kuda is an inflatable sit-on-top fishing kayak. The flat, sit-on-top design allows for excellent casting freedom. The flat deck design also enables the kayak to be used in stand-up paddleboard style. The 3.8m length provides a stable platform with many attachment points for extra gear for a full day on the water.

The Pike has a more traditional kayak design and paddles more like a hard boat. This boat will take you places, the Pike is a dream to paddle for long periods. With all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a premium fishing kayak, the Pike is perfect for out-of-reach fishing locations.

Take a look at the Osprey 1436 ……… tougher ……. 20 ft of top loading gear track, double thick in wear areas etc etc etc

Interesting. Though also twice the price and weight. Over $2k for PVC is a lot.

Which one did you like better? Pike or Kuda?

Hey there! They're both so different that we couldn't decide which one was better. As Chris explains in the end of the video, the Pike would be better for paddling longer distances as it is more kayak-like, whereas, the Kuda is great in slow water.
