The technology behind the remote control towers

Remote Control Towers increase airport safety and availability. In 2015, we successfully tested and validated our contingency remote tower in Girona-Costa Brava Airport with the collaboration of ENAIRE and Aena. The system avoids having to close an airport in the case that the main tower runs out of service for any reason.

I'm from girona and I didn't know this was here, for all I know they are still using the normal ATC Tower. Please Explain.

Hi Alex, I think the answer to your doubts it is in the description. It was tested and validated using Girona's Airport installations but it does not mean that it is operating instead of the ATC Tower current systems. It was validated for SESAR programme

Terrible presentation with very little information conveyed to the viewer. Very annoying and loud music. Is this intended for kids? Why isn't a presenter explaining and talking through the pros and cons, instead of a few movie-like keywords?
