1) Shotguns generally don't have iron sights. They have a "bead" on the end of the barrel. 2) Although you're not going to poke your eye out with a shotgun sight, you can still get hurt. If you rest your cheek near the receiver, the kick can cause the gun to give your cheekbone a good bash in. I may or may not have done that once.

I mean the assassin's advantage is entirely situational. They deal double damage to one person and one person alone, if they are forced into a gun fight with someone who isn't their target that half-damage to non-targets is a puts them at a massive disadvantage. Even if they kill win the assassin is now stuck doing half-damage to everyone and no longer has a target. I don't think the assassin is overpowered but it can be powerful if smartly used. edit: That was a double-barrel! It doesn't matter that Ped was the assassin they all would have been one-shot anyway! edit 2: I'm aware they get a new target when the old target dies. I should have said they can only do double damage to one person at a time.

I think some of the issue is due to the old jester being back. It means people can't kill (quite) as willy nilly as before.. so when there's a traitor who gets an instakill vs one person whenever they want, that becomes more powerful. Before, if someone was following you suspiciously you could always kill them.. people are beign a bit more careful now (only a bit mind, still yogscast)

suggestion for the assassin: instead of a flat double damage increase, maybe try ramping up the damage on each target per kill, starting with flat 100% damage, then after 1 kill 150% damage, then 2 kills 200%, etc. this means the assassin has to work up momentum rather than starting with a complete advantage.

So uh, on the topic of "poking your eye with the iron sight" - Most if not all standard shotguns have a simple ball/post at the front for aiming purposes, ones that include any form of a rear sight have it on top of the receiver. Your face is hugging the stock when aiming, the gun will recoil primarily be backwards but if you are holding the weapon properly it will not move backwards much if at all. Put simply: It is literally impossible to poke your eye with a guns iron sights unless you are TRYING to do that.

Assassin is op, but they gotta remember its replacing a hypnotist, which means basically you get a chance to have three traitors or two traitors where one does more damage in specific circumstances. I feel the assassin doing well is entirely up to the player and the circumstances, as we have had multiple assassin rounds, but only two rounds where the assassin did any better than a normal traitor. Edit: i guess theres a chance of just having two normal traitors which is kinda strange that theres just a chance of the traitor team being weaker than normal. I mean, ignoring the chance of ben being on the team

For the record Ben, in no circumstance do you put your eye right up on the sight of any gun, regardless of caliber or gauge. Also you don’t need to use a sight on a shotgun in the first place, the fact that they are such close range tools means that you just have to point the general center of the barrel at the target. Most shotguns have a little bead on the end of the barrel for you to aim with. Its the literal definition of a point and shoot.

That's wrong. You don't aim if you're hunting? The gauge of the gun is irrelevant, yes, but you still need to aim. Hunting turkeys, for example, you use a shotgun. However, you can't just unload into a turkey, you can only hit the head. So, you need a good aim for it. And it requires you to aim down sights. That's why there's a stock on any gun, to keep your eyes away from the kick back and to stabilize the gun on your shoulder.

Rusty Skeleton m8, i know how to shoot a shotgun, also i never said you don’t have to aim, we don’t have heat-seeking shotgun pellets just yet. I just said that you don’t need a sight on a shotgun in order to hit something. Its not like it takes great skill in order to do either. Like i said previously, all you have to do is line up the general center of the barrel with whatever your shooting at, and aim down a little to account for the height of the bead that’s normally there,and unless somebody just doesn’t know how to properly hold a gun (Ben) then your gonna hit it. And no, you dont need sights in order to hit the head of a turkey. You just need to be familiar with the tendencies of your gun, and have shells that agree with your particular shotgun as im sure you’re already aware. The main problem with turkey though is that the bastards tend to hear every little sound you make.
