“Bad pocket presence” and “trying to play hero ball”. My guy, you just described Will Levis. This team isn’t talented enough to present a talented QB with the opportunity to develop. Sanders or Ward aren’t going to succeed with this line, below average receiving core, and defense that doesn’t make big plays. I believe Carter is the pick and hope for a veteran bridge QB. Sweat, Simmons, and Carter with health in our secondary would make this defense elite immediately. A QB isn’t going to do that unless we add at least 4 pieces to this offense

I agree with everything you’ve said and think you’re absolutely right in terms of the 2025 season, but I think if we have an opportunity to trade down and stockpile enough picks for next year to guarantee a top qb in 2026, id rather work on the rest of the roster this year and put a better prospect in a better position in 2026. As things stand I’m getting flashbacks to 2015 and Marcus Mariota. What are the odds one of these QBs succeeds if we don’t have a good line, a couple elite skill players, good situational play-calling that plays to the qb’s and team’s strengths, discipline and talent on D/ST, etc etc

I went back 20 years in all of our drafts. We have only truly missed on 1 QB pick that we had a chance of getting. Aaron Rodgers... in 2005!! So did a lot of other teams. Every draft after that Titans either didnt have a chance at the best QB in that draft who was actually successful or Titans didnt need a QB at that time. We have drafted the best QB prospect on the board when we had a high draft pick and needed a QB. VY, Locker & Mariota. In those drafts there were NO other QB's that would have been a better option.( You could argue Jay Cutler in the VY draft) ...Mahomes, Jackson, and Allen all were in drafts where we DIDNT need a QB at the time. Titans now have prime pickings at the best QB prospects in this next draft. We havent been in this situation since Mariota. If fans dont think Titans should pick one of the best QB prospects then stop watching football. Its really that simple.

If you get a vet that has performed well away from this team, and they perform OK here, that doesn’t teach you anything about the coaching staff.They have to groom a QB and show they could do it. As much as I hate to say it, I think we’re just gonna have to be god awful next year and take a legitimate quarterback, rather than rushing the rebuild and digging yourself into a deeper hole. They have no Talent outside of a rookie quarterback and whoever they draft whether it became Ward or Sanders will just be running around for their life you'll probably Win 4 or 5 games. We should only take a QB top 5 if HC and Scouts legit believe in Shedeur or Cam... Otherwise, there's no point taking a QB for the sake of taking QB. Taking a rookie QB rarely turns around a Franchise - Jayden is probably the only example of this happening. But he frankly has a better HC and OC than we do. And its entirely possible he will experience a sophomore slump like CJ did next year(Texans went from Great to Mid) Taking a vet QB and building talent around them is a greater formula for success. Which is what Cally and even Ran needs to save their jobs. They need to take a vet QB. If we take a rookie QB - there is a 99% chance we are gonna be a bottom 5 team again next year.

Drake Mae is probably as good If not better than every other QB in his draft class and they still picking #1 cause they have no talent on their roster. What QB are you drafting in next year's class? and with what pick? You don't get a top 2 pick very often, and to get one we'd have to be the worst team in the league 2 years in a row. Then if we tank next year the whole coaching staff and front office is gone. No free agents are coming here without a QB. Nobody saw Mahomes, Allen, or Jackson as future HOF franchise QBs when they were drafted. Sanders is way more accurate and smarter than Levis. He's already an upgrade without any NFL coaching. We're not getting the opportunity to draft the best QB in the draft any time soon after this year. So we have to take one now.
