These people blindly followed orders from the government that led to deaths of many (including my Father) in 2020 and beyond. They prevented relatives from visiting their loved ones in their time of most need. Just ‘doing our job’ does not supersede ‘do no harm’. ALL sectors are struggling, not just NHS staff with the difference being the other sectors didn’t throw their primary objective into the trash because their boss said so. I have no sympathy for the NHS I’m afraid.

Same here, I'd rather die in a ditch than end up at the mercy of a hospital nurse. Whilst they were learning dance moves, they left my Dad & God knows how many others, to die alone. So many other terrible incidents happened at the hands of those entrusted to care but one day, they will face justice.

@@jiggli-Jane I'm a retired nurse and I can honestly say if they offered me a shit lot of money to go back, I'd refuse. Lots of nurses coming into the profession think actual hands on patient care is above them. One I worked with said " I didn't go to uni for 3 years to bath patients" I'm not saying *all* are like that, but any newly qualified ones I had experience with had a terrible attitude. There are good and bad in every profession.

I was a Nurse, Charlie. There was 4 of us for 24 patients all who needed assistance with eating, washing and dressing. On Nights there were 3 of us. It was horrendous. After my shift I could barely walk as I was so tired and sore. On nights there would be 3 JHO's for a full general hospital, one of which was on call for the smaller cottage hospitals in the area too and rarely got time to eat. NHS nursing and medical staff have worked short staffed for years, it's about time they were heard and appreciated. Sadly too late for me, I'm medically retired now but we have been un-appreciated all our working days, it time the voices were heard!

The issue is with the poor management of the service, not necessarily pay. Although I will say I'd certainly support better pay and shorter shifts for front line staff, if they got rid of all the overpaid people in jobs that shouldn't exist, or the people that are in jobs that haven't got a clue how to do it effectively or efficiently.

Well I get minimum wage for a part time cleaning job that is very manually intensive for 3hrs non-stop over 4 flights of stairs, that includes all rooms, toilets, stairwells, bins, cleaning cups, dusting.. 3 frkkin' hours is not long enough. My point is a lot of people are under paid but where is the cleaners union, is there one?

I made around 1600 euros a month after tax (in Sweden) which might sound much but with the prices going up it was a really really tight budget. Then again there are loads of things people can save money on. The market decidedes if people can be replaced or not. A issue though is that some of these jobs dont offer enough hours.

Did you go to Uni for 6 years and go £80k in Student Loan debt to be paid just £14ph? Jr Doctors are essential to the functioning of the NHS and the fact it is a transitory grade for the Doctors has been abused by the government. They have had enough and the Union Vote Turn Out and Vote To Strike was Over whelming in favour of taking action. Good luck to them - they have my support.

The reason for the crowded Hospital's is because of the influx of immigrants. Many have children with disabilities that require constant care .This often drains the system of treatment to others. Inbreeding continues and that brings on many birth defects . 😞

When I worked in the Civil service back in the 70s/80s, there was some very successful industrial action which involved not providing any local/regional statistics to Head Office who in turn could not provide treasury staff and ministers with any data which they require to make all their decisions. In addition, I recall some action on the railways where staff threw open the ticket barriers and refused to check any tickets. It can be done with a bit of ingenuity. That's just two examples.
