A quick couple of days up at The Tent with my beautiful Daughters Sara and Emily. The weather sucked, no fish were biting and you know what? It was an incredibly AWESOME weekend.

This video captures the usual conditions of being at a camp in early spring. Bitter cold winds on the water, light snow, blow downs contrasted with a nice warm place to retreat to and have something good to eat. Enjoyed watching the video as it reminded me of my spring trips to the camp.

As my daughter was growing up, we made 7 different trips to the Ely area for fishing/canoe camping in the boundary waters. Your tent videos remind me how much I like the area. It's been a few years since our last visit, but my daughter, grown now, says she wants to use her vacation days next summer for another trip up.

Hey Joe, I really love these tent videos. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy your other videos too on both channels but there's just something about the tent videos. It's like I'm getting to live out my dream through your eyes or something, I don't know. Anyway, another outstanding video, my friend! Take care and God bless. 🙏👍

Reminds me of my grandparents camp at Alex Bay. Fishing, boating island hopping, watching the huge ships go by, cooking on an open fire but we had a huge cast iron skillet. Great times thanks for the memories.

I'm new seeing Joe&ZachSurvival. This videos r some relaxing, that I don't get bored at all. Some Comments call the girls lazy, cause Joe does all the work. Joe is being himself, he edits 5hrs of filming into one, so really we don't get to see everything that goes on on the Tent. I see a Loving Father doting on his 2 grown daughters, grateful that he is able to do that, and that the girls love spending time with him. Don't judge a book by its cover , open it up and you will find a treasure.. Joe said, didn't catch any fish, but him & his girls had an awesome time.... Thanks for the videos Joe, keep them coming, God Bless.......

Great to see a video from the tent!!!! Joe, you can keep all that snow up there!!! Been cool here in WV for that past few days, we even had a freeze warning on Sunday!! Today's highs has only been in the upper 50's! But seeing you guys up there and enjoying the tent, cooking those pork steaks on the fire makes me want to get to our camp!! My kind of breakfast!!!! I need some of those giant eggs!!! LOL Getting those AR's zero'd takes some time and patience to get them right on. But once you do you will have a good shooting system. Man you guys eat good when your at the tent. Again glad to see a video from the tent. Hope to do a video when we go to the bus and share it with you!! Take care and be safe. Juddie - J & J TOA

Hey Joe I've been watching your videos for some time now and I have to say, I just love when you and your children spend quality time together up at the tent; and your dads cabin which by the way is absolutely beautiful. Your tent is lovely as well. I'm a city girl born and raised but my mother was from SC so I did get to have some outdoors time growing up. I've tried to get my kids to go camping but lol it's just futile so I watch you and your family and imagine I'm tagging along, I finally hit the sub button so I'll be watching and following. God bless :-)
@JoeandZachSurvival8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the nice comment, I am glad you subbed because I will have many more videos both here on Joe and Zach Survival as well as my other channel Northern Seclusion. Its much easier to get the kids to go up (and still not super easy) to the tent since it has many of the modern conveniences of home. We did go "camping" camping when they were kids but mainly for hunting and stuff. I look forward to more of your comments on upcoming videos. Thanks again. Joe

My grandfather had the wood box at his house that could be open from the outside. This allowed him to charge up the wood box without going through or into the house. It also had an opening Inside the house so you could take the wood out of it without opening the door. He also had an ice box that opened to the outside so that the stuff could be kept cold by the outside temperature. This house was built in the 1920s when refrigerators were not generally available. In the 70s when my uncle remodel the house of that was taken out.

I get a kick out of you calling your hunting/fishing camp a "tent". I stayed in a tepee north of Edmonton , Alberta for the better part of a winter, and I gotta tell you brother, there ain't much tent like in your set up. Now our deer hunting camp is similar to this, except we have solar power, no TV, no wi fi, an unheated outdoor shithouse, a 45 gallon drum, or a beaver pond for bathing, and a wood cook stove that devours wood like a 70's Caddy devoured gasoline. All in all though, every minute spent there is heaven. Enjoy!
