I like seeing you clean the whole grouse, I never could understand why others would throw so much meat away. Growing up hunting dove with my dad, he would always pick the whole bird, mama would Cut them in half roll them in flour, brown them, then simmer until tender, that was a good meal. I have never breasted a dove in my life. I really enjoy your videos, yours has to be my favorite.

Im in indiana and every deer season i watch the tent videos. Pumps me up as a fellow outdoorsman and appreciation for how fortunate we are to live freely in this country. I saw a five inch snow forecast up there. Hope all is well for you. Did you ever think about getting thermal monocular to scan for deer out in the woods? I got one and it helps a lot in locating them in thicker brush and trees. Your dad has a beautiful place.

One got the outhouse a few days after this video finished. It did not ruin it but it did poke holes in the roof. Zach cut that tree up and will have that video coming shortly. Stay tuned.

Wolves have eaten almost all of the deer. Hopefully now with the new administration coming in they will allow wolf hunts again like they did the last time this upcoming administration was in.

Hmmm I wonder if you ever considered a root cellar for the tent. I don’t know what the water table is there but a big enough insulated cooler just below the frost line with an insulated 2x4 top would keep cans about 40 degrees or so, definitely above freezing. That way you could keep all your canned goods there and keep the oil from freezing solid. Not like you don’t already have enough projects to do haha!

Greetings from Northeast Ohio Bread isn’t bad for them per se. It just doesn’t give them any nutritional value. Bread is not going to keep them warm at night. That’s all.

Logging will greatly help the area for deer in the coming years. It does not help when they are logging during the season though.

Joe I think you need to move on from the tent for future deer hunting. Keep it for a fishing/grouse camp, but move south in Minnesota for better deer hunting. 🤷🏻♂️

Joe I was just wondering if you have anything recorded of the making of your tent. I just went back to the beginning of your channel over 13 yrs ago and the tents already there. Even some photos would be cool. Still don’t know how the tent has survived so many years. I have never had any trouble. Only once like Charlie mentioned, there was some guys breaking into a few places in the area. They were caught the next day and eventually prosecuted.
