Great teaching, Christine. The generation are those people who will be alive at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Revelation 4:1 is after the Rapture of the church. We placed our faith in Jesus who God's wrath was visited on at Calvary because of sin. Believers therefore are not subject to God's wrath, rather His Grace..

We will all live through the tribulations and only those who persevere to the end will be saved (Matt 24:13). And Our Lord will shorten the duration of the tribulations for the elect, for otherwise no one would be saved (Matt 24:22). We are living in the fig tree generation. In Psalm 90:10 we are given the length of a generation as 70 years, or 80 years by reason of strength, but (that generation) is soon (quickly, suddenly or abruptly) cut off and we fly away. In less than 4 years we will see the end of this generation, and fly away in the rapture.

You did a lot of scriptural gymnastics to try to prove this is the Fig tree generation. In order to understand the parable of the fig tree, you have to understand the Fig tree itself: Matthew 24 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh The branches were tender, but no fruit came out. @@MickWall-ck6uk That's a difficult question, who was the fig tree, as it isn't explicitly stated in scripture, but there are some clues. There's an Old Testament reference to it which I did a video on quite a while ago. The brief version from memory is that there was a competition amongst the trees as to which tree would rule over them. All the trees opted out of being that ruler, including the fig tree, except for one which was the bramble. The idea is that the least noble and most abusive of the trees ends up ruling because nobody else steps up. Judges 9:10-11 are the relevant verses as regards the fig tree: 10 “Then the trees said to the fig tree, ‘You come and reign over us!’ 11 But the fig tree said to them, ‘Should I cease my sweetness and my good fruit, And go to sway over trees?’ The idea being that if the fig tree is bearing fruit, it doesn't feel the need to rule over the nations. The other parable of the fig tree is in Luke 13:6-9 where Jesus tells the story of a fig tree which was cut down after 4 years because it didn't bear fruit. I connected this with Psalm 90:10 because there is a cutting off of a generation between 70 and 80 years because of a failing of strength. My thesis is that as long as the modern state of Israel is bearing some kind of fruit in the world it is allowed to remain in place. Over the years, some good things have come out of Israel. They are the only democracy in the Middle East, and while there is some mild persecution of the Messianic Jews by the ultra-orthodox, in general, the Jews who believe in Jesus are allowed to practice their faith in Israel. In my opinion, this has allowed for the growth of the "man-child", which includes Christians in Israel, but doesn't exclude all the Christians around the world, who are grafted into the olive tree. I know I am mixing metaphors here, because Israel is also known as an olive tree, but there is also plenty of evidence that Israel is also represented by a fig tree. If you do an internet search, there are a lot of references to Israel as a fig tree. Jeremiah 24 is another reference that comes up, which is worth looking into.

Jesus said that only God knows the day and the hour. As humans, the flesh gets in the way and becomes impatient. People feel a need to state a date, and this can become a stumbling block for those who are weak, discouraged, or babies in Christ. Instead, may believers realize that death or the Rapture could happen at any time and we shouldn't be caught off guard but doing God's will by glorifying His name and building bridges through the gospel and testifying of how Jesus brought us salvation and healing so others might be saved. May we not grow weary in doing good but be His arms and feet as we minister to others.

I've always wondered if some of us that are "Saved" will be alive when the Father sends his Precious Son to remove the Church from this wicked earth and that we will not even die in the process being the First Humans to never die on earth but literally pass/go to Eternal life. Kinda. I see 3 rapture events, pre, mid and post. Pre trib for the church, mid trib for the 2 witnessess and maybe the 144000 also, and post trib for the tribulation saints. I'm probably way off mark, I wouldn't teach this, it's just what I see right now in scripture. I mean wouldn't it be crazy if we've all wasted time arguing pre, mid or post only for it to turn out to be all 3? I'm sure the timing of the rapture will surprize everyone. The main thing is to get people saved. It's fun to speculate and goodness knows it comes very easy to us to argue but we shouldn't waste time on all that I suppose when the time is so late and there are so many still lost.

John: The seal-, trumpet-, and bowl-judgments are all wrath of God, which believers are not appointed and are rescued from. ‭Revelation 6:16-17 NKJV‬ [16] and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the *wrath of the Lamb!* [17] For the great day of *His wrath has come,* and who is able to stand?” ‭Revelation 14:9-10 NKJV‬ [9].. “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, [10] he himself shall also drink of the wine of the *wrath of God...,* ‭Revelation 15:1 NKJV‬ [1] Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: *seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.* Rev 20:4-6 is not the rapture. It's the coming to life of those beheaded or died during the tribulation.

@@JesseMgala Romans 5:8-10 says: "8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. The WE here are ALL Believers --- who are SAVED from the Wrath of God (toward unbelievers). The End Time Wrath is also referred to by Jesus as "the Flood" and or the abomination that brings about desolation: which I believe is the mark of the beast. Jojn 6:37-54 makes is Crystal Clear that ALL believers get raised up at the same time -- on the "last day." He Repeats it Four Times.

@@earthage3020 Bro, wrath of God is expressed in many ways. To the Israelites who opposed Moses, the wrath of God came in the form of a plague(Num.16:46). To the Jews who persecuted the Jewish believers in Jerusalem, the wrath of God wasn't mention(1Thess 2:16). During the tribulation, the first 4 seals(Rev 6:16-17) and the 7 bowls full of plague(Rev 15:1) are clearly *the wrath of God* from which believers are not appointed to. And to all, _including you,_ who say Rev 20:4-6 is the rapture, *you have to stretch and twist 1Thess **4:16**-17* for Rev 20:4-6 to be the rapture.

@@JesseMgala After over 20 years of believing in (and teaching) a Pre-Tribulation Rapture (largely because THAT is ALL we were Ever Taught: at almost every church I attended and on Christian Radio --- ONLY the Pre-Trib view was Allowed --- for Many Years --- maybe that has changed ??? ). I also Do NOT Believe that there is a "Seven Year Tribulation" --- as that (False) teaching is based on a Faulty Interpretation of Daniel 9:24-27. Also Dr. Garza explains why Dan. 9:27 is talking about the Messiah Putting a Stop to the Sacrifices --- in the middle of the 70th week by BECOMING the Sacrifice then and There. I have since came to Reject the teaching of (and or belief in) a pre-tribulation rapture for the following Eight Reasons: 1. 2 Thes. 2:1-3 clearly states and even warns us not to be deceived about, the Timing of the Rapture -- and that it will be AFTER the Antichrist man of sin is revealed. That is what the text clearly says -- meaning that whoever is Holding back the antichrist is Not the church. Daniel 10 also tells us that both Gabriel and Michael are ABLE to Hold him Back. See also Dan. 12:1 --- and compare the similar wording to 2 Thes. 2:7-8. 2. John 6:39, 40, 44 and 54 also make it clear that "ALL" and or "Everyone" who comes to Jesus for Salvation are raised up on the "last day." Therefore this must include Both Jew and Gentile. 3. In I Corinthians 15:53-54 we are also told that when the Rapture takes place Death will be Over with, and in Verse 26 we are told that "the last enemy to be conquered is death" -- meaning that the rapture must take place at the End of the Tribulation period. Note that the WHEN is tied to the THEN statement in verse 54 (i.e. WHEN this mortal body puts on immortality … THEN will come about the saying, Oh Death where is your victory …. ) and refers to a banquet that will take place when Jesus comes back. This goes against the belief in Seven More Years of Bloodshed AFTER the Rapture. 4. Rev. 20:4-6 also makes it Clear that the Rapture (or "First Resurrection") takes Place AFTER the Tribulation is Over. 5. 2 Thes. 1:6-10 was also written to the Church: and these verses make it Clear that when Jesus comes back, He Destroys the antichrist --- and by so doing gives Relief to His people. This also means that the antichrist must come BEFORE Jesus Comes back -- and that the church must still be here. In fact, we are told that power of the holy people (or the Church) will be shattered before we are Rescued (I think 45 days after the abomination / mark comes out -- based on Dan. 12:1; 10-12, Rev. 17:14-15; Isa. 26:20-21. 6. Matt. 24 and Mark 13 contain Parallel passages about the end of the world. And Matt. 24:29-31 makes it Clear that the Rapture / Rescue takes Place AFTER the Tribulation of those days, and Mark 13:37 tells us that it Applies "to AL.". See also Rom. 9:6-9; Gal. 3:16; 28-29; 4:20-21; and NOTE that there are TWO Israel's. One of the Flesh and One of the Spirit. 7. Daniel 12:1 makes it clear that when the "Rescue" (or Rapture) happens, the power of the holy people will be over.
