There is one scene in the last episode where Ben tells james that he doesn't have to die alone, and James looks at him and says "I'm not alone." And that looks to his side and sees his dead teammates. It was a very beautiful scene. And I got to say, even though they strayed from the book a bit, I think they did a very good job.
@kimionly72382 жыл бұрын
I've seen that scene and i'm now currently watching the whole series for the second time .. that scene hits hard you know .. Reece really mean it when he said Long Live The Brotherhood .. even he knows that his brothers were dead killed by his commanders , but he know that he is not alone because his brothers is with him and watching him from the other side
@thant0s2 жыл бұрын
That scene really leaned into the idea of Reece falling off into the deep end with his condition. I wish they'd have included acknowledgement of seeking treatment at some point because that whole operation had "point of no return" written all over it, and yet he pops up later like nothing happened.

a lot of operators love to dress up as "gray man" in everyday life; t shirt, shades, baseball cap, etc., but they ironically became instantly recognizable as an operator when most of them are pretty much burly dudes with sleeve tats and shaggy beard. It does make sense, he's not a career criminal, as an operator in the military he never had to care about finger prints, or any type of prosecution related to him being there. If he's getting shot at, he's probably just reverting to his training and does what he did overseas, takes the weapon away from the assailant and goes automatic mode. Realism doesn't mean people will act in a perfect fashion, especially when shot at 5 seconds prior :D, operator or not that gets your adrenaline going and some of the thinking might be flawed

@@NoPowerintheVerse Agreed. Normally, I'd watch Connie Wu all day long, but the Soviet Bloc connection between the Eastern Euro Buraneks and Reece's father really got flushed down the toilet when they cast Wu in the role to get a toe into the PRC film market. Amazon didn't even map the role over to the Chinese Katie's father having been a Chinese PRC surgeon that took info from anesthesized CCP bigwigs then defected to the USA...likely because the CCP wouldn't have liked that subplot.

I actually really liked the paranoia and doubt of the first few episodes. In the book the foul play is more evident. You're right that this scene is important. This attack scene is great.
