The scene at the end that shows Sarah Conner & the T2 disguised as her is not a trick shot using a split screen. It’s actually Linda Hamilton & her identical twin sister Leslie, who unfortunately died last year at the age of 63.

You got it 100%! James Cameron wanted to give Arnie a shot at being a hero after making him an almost silent villain in the first. He enjoyed Arnie as a hero so much he teams with him again on True Lies, where Arnie gets to flex his comedic skills as well.

I was a kid when this movie came out. After seeing it, I remember going grocery shopping with my mom and there was a police officer buying a soda or something. He looked similar to the actor. I screeched in the store, to my mom’s extreme embarrassment, that he was a Terminator and he would kill us all. To my kid brain, you couldn’t tell me he wasn’t one of the Terminators.

FYI, there are three versions of this film: theatrical, special, & extended. This is the 3rd one, which has the alternate ending. The ending of the first two versions simply shows the road w/ Sarah's narration saying that the unknown but hopeful future is in front of them.

A big difference in the heroine's acting, I think, came from the fact that she became a mother in real life between the two movies. You can kind of feel that in her character in this movie and I feel like it made her a better actress for this role. At least, for who her character had become.

Who would have thought that in the first film that you would have been crying for a Terminator in the second one. Lol. You look like you had a good time with this movie. We have a new Terminator fan ladies and gentlemen. 😁

The future timeline was corrected when the last chip was destroyed. So John grew up and had children of his own and lived a normal life. And Sarah became a grandmother.

I don't know if someone explained it yet, but the reason the Resistance is using a terminator that looks exactly like the one from the previous incident is because, well, Skynet is lazy. It makes them on a literal assembly line, so they all look the same and have the same weaknesses and abilities. Occasionally, it will make upgrades, but most of the time it'll just keep sending more of the same types until the job gets done.

If John's foster mother looks familiar she was Vasquez in Aliens. Jennette Goldstein, one of James Cameron's favorite character actors also played the Irish mother with the two young children in Titanic. A truly amazing actress!

The shotgun inside the box of roses was a subtle reference to Guns 'n Roses, who are on the soundtrack to the film. The budget for this sequel was 16 times as much as the budget for the 1984 'Terminator'.
