Last Christmas my cousin and I were in the Atlantic Terminals and he was telling it was a movie being made there. Almost a year later but this time on Thanksgiving night like de ja vu we were at the same location and I tell my cousin that I had been looking for the series he was telling me about and that I couldn't remember the name of it and then i see this noticeable big brother who looked like a NFL lineman. He was casually carrying some National Geographic looking camera equipment dolo in the hood. It was the big man in this film. I asked him what is the title? He gave me the name and told me it was out and mentioned the latest episodes. It was very informal nevertheless I told him I would binge view his show. So here I am. I'm a minute man when it comes to movies...in all due respect and this goes for any movie I've watched. I'm no critic, but if I don't like a movie by the 15:00 mark...I'm outta there. So far I;m on the edge of my seat...I gotta see what happened to big man? So far I'm relating and identifying with it already. I used to hangout over there with my cousins when were little niggas. This is my word as a little nigga I noticed that the entire complex was fly... meaning everything and everybody. The garments, the jewelry, communication skills were distinctive with an underlined gangster element. It was like they really had privileged backgrounds, they did real gangster shit. I'm a fly nigga so I can say this shit about other fly niggaz. Charming, charismatic, intellectual, respectful but seasonally dressed nice with all the accessories all the time. I'm talking 1976 when I used to spend weekends at my grandmother's in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn where 3 of my most influential cousins also lived. I remember the being in the complex hanging out or meeting girls who were classy with that real subtle Brooklyn bullshit. It was known from Coney Island to the Pink Houses that Atlantic Terminals were holding their shit down brick by brick. For the record...It sounds crazy saying all this in a comment after one episode. This is exactly the kind of movies I pick when i'm browsing or watching a preview . Respect to those who contributed to the body of work. I'm excited to check out the rest and share.
