The Terrible Podcast - Talking Steelers Signing CB Cam Sutton, Cam Heyward Being Back, Sack Totals

Season 14, Episode 141 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday episode, Alex Kozora and I start by discussing the big news from the morning, which is the Pittsburgh Steelers signing CB Cameron Sutton to a one-year-contract.
We go over every facet of Sutton’s return to Pittsburgh. That includes his potential fit in the defense, the likelihood of him facing NFL discipline, what the court of public opinion will be with him and much more.
In other news, Steelers DT Cameron Heyward showed up at OTAs on Wednesday and without a new contract in hand. We discuss his reasoning for reporting to OTAs, what the outcome of his contract situation is likely to be and much more.
After dedicating most of this show to two Cams, Alex and I discuss the situation the San Francisco 49ers might face when it comes to keeping all of their wide receivers past the 2024 season. We also talk one of the main things that could be an obstacle when it comes to the Steelers possibly trading for 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk that seems have been forgotten these last several weeks.
Alex and I quickly go over the recent 15-year history of June trades in the NFL and what it does and does not mean in relation to the Steelers maybe making a trade this month.
The Steelers also recently added two other players to their offseason roster, so Alex and I make sure to recap those transactions during this show.
Alex recently completed a sack study that went live on the site Wednesday morning, so we discuss his findings.
Later in this show, Alex and I discuss two Wilsons in various fashions, QB Russell Wilson and ILB Payton Wilson.
Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 84-minute episode and we end it all by answering a few emails we have received from listeners.

Just heard on the 412 podcast all charges on Sutton have been dropped not even misdemeanors are dropped no charges at all! So can’t see how nfl can suspend him when basically he’s innocent of all charges seems strange even if lady dropped then police can still bring them fact they’re not makes me think he’s innocent was at lions gym whole time they were looking for him he. Said didn’t know they had warrants he sure wasn’t hard to find what a strange case did it ever happen???

Ok just googled all charges on Sutton and once he completes program all charges will be expunged and dropped and erased from his record

As for Cam, he's never done that before so all new reactions from it... Me personally, I would feel like garbage for volunteering not to hangout with some great players in that locker room... To show people he's injury free at this point... He doesn't want to stop hanging on this crazy ride the Steelers are on now ... People might want to play for next year either one of those QBs will turn out even better next year .. SB run for sure... He's gonna give the Steelers 3 years to do so...

You know what I find amazing? A man was accused of domestic battery. The media said he fled and was not found for three weeks. He did not flee. He was probably doing what his agent and lawyers told him to do. On the run and the law did not know where he was? Law enforcement knew where he was the entire time. If they wanted him so bad, they had every opportunity to arrest him at their leisure. So, the charges were reduced to misdemeanors and the league is going to punish him as per the league's domestic policy, and you have a man who has been found guilty of rape and defamation. Found guilty of thirty-four counts in New York last week. Facing other charges and using his money to appeal, appeal, appeal and this same man is running for President. And you two guys are talking about the perception of public opinion? Both of you two men, please help me make all this make sense! The legal stuff, the legal stuff, the legal stuff for a football player, and you're talking about the worst-case situation for him, and not for a man running for President. Which is most important gentleman? Cam Heyward back in practice at OTA's practice is and was a non-issue and is it is you in the media that wants to make it news worthy. Why he decided to show up is his business. He wasn't trying to make a point because no point needs to be made. What was he trying to accomplish is an idiotic comment man. He is a football player which you two men are obviously not. If the man wants to play and is trying to do that, let him see what he can do. Whatever you two men think, we really do not care. You have a podcast and we get it. But please stop trying to make news stuff and act as if we fans are thinking the same things. I have been a fan of the Steelers longer than both of you have been alive and trust me when I say this. The things you men are talking about, many of us don't really care. At least I don't. He will get an extension because he at thirty-five is the best d line players they have. He knows it and the Steelers know it, even at thirty-five. Many men and women who have podcasts always talk about age. I wonder how many of you in the media will feel if the fans say that you are too old to have a podcast because you seem to worry about every single thing as if you have no faith in things. Please stop with the sky is falling scenarios every single time something comes up.
