Even Mick Foley says that the TNA gig was nothing more than a cash grab for him
@markgray77172 ай бұрын
For a lot of these legends not just him bro. Booker T treated this place exactly like a cash grab, bro literally had a segment where he was commentating at a wrestler kicking him lol
@Morbos10003 ай бұрын
I wouldn't exactly call Mick old at this time. He was only in his early to mid 40s. More that he was so incredibly hard on his own body over the years (much more than most wrestlers) that he aged his body much faster than normal. So he had the body of a 65 year old even though he was 20 years younger.

They buried so much and coasted with whatever garbage they thought of. TNA never really recovered from all that damage.
@tayojones94602 ай бұрын
Mick never should have gone to TNA. His matches were painful to watch. The damage to his body finally caught up to him. And let's not forget that he forced Daffney into doing hard-core spots just for the sake of his feud with Abyss. The damage Daffney endured had severe consequences on her physical and mental health and she took her life years later.

Why would ANYONE want to work for a lunatic like McMahon who constantly yells at someone through a headset? That's not "ethical" in the slightest, and only makes one's job more stressful. Not "good" for morale too. So yeah, I don't blame Foley for snapping at him, as he should, before leaving.

I hate the way the thumbnail says trash! No one has sacrificed more for the business than Mic! At the time I was just happy to see the guy was still moving let alone wrestling and was glad he was getting a paycheck. His presence at any wrestling show is always a positive. So much cadence/personality shines through in his promos and appearances . Die hard wrassling fans will love and remember him forever.

The WWE should bring Mick back as a commentator again now that Vince is gone. They could have him and Regal as a commentary team on one of the brands, I think that would work well as they have a lot of experience, they both know how to be funny and serious when needed, they can both play face or heel as required. I think that they could be this generations Gorilla and Ventura.

Mick Foley allowed his ego to get the better of him. He forced Daffney to do hard-core spots (which she did not want to do) and this resulted in her getting a concussion. Which further exaggerated her mental health problems. Years later she grew depressed and she committed suicide. Mick never took responsibility and never showed remorse for what he did to her. I lost so much respect for him after what he did
