I have tremendous respect for you Spencer! You’re not taking a risk blindly, you didn’t succumb to any peer pressure, this was YOUR CHOICE and you did this for YOU. You trained and trained and trained and showed the world what you could do - and you had the most fun of your life doing it!! Having the freedom to take risks like this comes with an honest understanding each individual’s personal abilities and most importantly a full acceptance of personal responsibility for the risks involved should the worst ever happen (which thank God it didn’t in Spencer’s case!) I’m sure the VERY LAST THING that Spencer would want is for the sport he loves to be shut down if he got hurt or killed. Not having the freedom to take the risks you fully accept in life is not a free life at all is it…...
