Vega is the coolest SF character. I've never seen a fighting game character that plays quite like him and his visual design on paper sounds so stupid but in execution is perfect and immediately creates a character you won't forget. Not only that but he's actually interesting from a story/lore perspective. His hatred of ugliness has him obsessed with killing potentially anyone he deems hideous, his love of beauty has him prone to doing acts of strange kindness such as saving Cammy from dying. Psychotic but gallant, a hero in his own mind and a sadistic narcissist to anyone else. He's what happens when you take Prince Charming and mix him with Patrick Bateman. Definitely my favorite villain in SF and should be in every game. Please give him a good reversal and hitboxes, Capcom.

I hated fighting this guy in SF2, especially in the Turbo version. I wonder if Vega is left handed or if he just wears his claw on that hand. In SF2, he always wears it on his foreground hand as the sprite is flipped when he is facing the other way as a programming shortcut.

Vega's design was partly inspired by the Nameless Asura from Hokuto No Ken 2. His howls and diving were partially inspired by Rei of HNK also.

The only other effete antagonist to straight up disturb me as a sprog on the same level as Vega growing up; was early portrayals of Him from the Powerpuff girls. Just such unapologetic narcissus and sociopathy eminates from Vega. Reminds me, only reason to watch that old Street Fighter Animated movie from the 1990s was the fight with him and Chung Lee, my older brother showed it to me as a kid and it still holds up. Rest of that movie?; nope.
