I think that's pretty much the idea, as the movie is supposed to be a rip-off that doesn't take itself too seriously. I do have to admit, that this movie used to scare me as a kid

@@DrQuagmire1 me to, saw this movie as a kid in 1997 and it scared the hell out of me. Later I realised this movie is Roger cooreman's hommage to alien. It was Stated by Dan Obannon that they were initially would go to Roger for filming Alien but 20th Century Fox gave the green light with a much higher budget and plenty of script modifications by their internal writers.

Very low budget Alien Ripoff. The creature sounds were just some guy roaring in a suit. This was porn movie type of quality. I'm a fan of b movie flicks but this is bad quality even for a b movie. Can't believe it actually got a sequel
