Fun fact, in the modern Tetris randomizer known as guideline, all 7 tetraminos (yes that’s what the pieces are called) will be guaranteed to show up at least once in a series of 13 pieces. The first 8 will always contain all 7 but after that it’s only guaranteed per every 13 pieces. This scenario can and does happen in classic Tetris but can’t happen anymore.
@itsphoenixingtime Жыл бұрын
To simplify it all modern tetris games use 7-bag which means every bag contains the 7 tetrominoes but in different order, so the furthest 2 pieces can appear between placements is 12-13 pieces.

12 years later and I’m realizing these jokes are more clever than I initially thought. Every piece given to the player can be reasonably be used to clear the blocks on the field with only a bit of patience and ingenuity, but the angels reflect the anxiety of a lot of players where they won’t see that answer right away until it’s too late, reflexivity blaming the game (their god), and then the frustration mounts when the game only gives you the pieces you thought you needed moments before. The game is neither cruel, nor angry. It simply wishes not to change its instruction. And I love that this skit captures that.

He might be playing a bad knockoff version of Tetris, where the next piece doesn't appear at all. I guess that raises the question of whether Tetrimedes has to be the god for ALL of the Tetris knockoffs ever made. Considering the popularity of Tetris, that would be a majorly daunting task.

First line piece goes horizontally on the far right. The next ones go vertically to plug up the holes on the top row to clear that row. This allows for tetris with the last piece.
