I spent the Fourth of July there in one of the teepees. It was great, with an impressive view as far as the eye can see. I also was able to take incredible pictures of the Milky Way. I plan on going back next year.

@@Andromeda_29 If the moon is bright or if there are any clouds, that ruins it. The clouds are hard to see sometimes at night but if it’s positively clear skies and the moon is dim, you can see the Milky Way clearly in rural TX

Is it safe to travel there?
@chaseteter3 жыл бұрын
@@melarno3486 I don’t know the crime stats but it felt very safe to me. Don’t expect much from 911, it’s extremely remote. Some coyotes were howling and my dogs were frozen stiff 😆 I just booked a return trip for March

@@melarno3486 It is VERY SAGE to go there. The only criminals will be peoppe visot9mg the town. The people who live there leave their doors and cars open. I have been to Big Bend 3 times. It is really a peaceful and quiet place. It's the desert.

We just visited Terlingua and stayed at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge - what a difference from the SF Bay Area California where we live.

I absolutely love this place, but then it started raining. Tell me why water was coming out of the walls and the rooms were flooding. And their maintenance crew could not do nothing about it because what can you really do when water is coming out of the walls and flooding the room. It dried up the next day, but still nobody from management checked on us, or anything after we complain the night before.

Looking to going to one of these for my bday but not digging how you can't lock the tents. Anyone can just walk inn there when you sleeping. Too many crazy people now a days, can't trust anyone.

why would they go all the way out here and complain? they need to appreciate it before they get on the road there.

I guess if living in the middle of the Desert with no AC is your thing. 😂 I’ve lived in W Texas my whole life and couldn’t do it without AC
