This BBQ joint has a bigger mission than serving delicious BBQ - they work to help the homeless with welcoming arms!

Thank you jo ann. There is nothing but home. Born and raised. I agree the 915 best area to live. God bless the rescue mission.

AGREED Jo Ann! Of all the cities in Texas to live in, my choice would be El Paso. It seems to me folks in El Paso have the biggest hearts in Texas!

A lot of people say that El Paso is boring, but it is a great place to raise a family or retire. One of the safest cities in the nation and with the friendliest folks.

Agreed! My husband and I fell in love with El Paso while visiting, and last year, we finally moved there after 17 years in a horrible rural county in East Texas where everyone was nice to your face, but hateful deep down. We are so much happier in the ELP.

I live in El Paso but I didn’t know about the restaurant, I just knew about the shelter. I don’t mind spending money to help a man with a good mission! Definitely stopping by now.

Bill Meeker I've been a supporter of Blake and the Rescue Mission of El Paso for years, as well as a follower of the Texas Bucket List. With the amazing difference Blake has made for so many lives, he remains a humble guy who keeps on giving.

God Bless You, brother. I’m so glad your Mission was discovered. This is the best episode of Texas Bucket List I’ve ever seen. Simply because you gave up the prosperous life of a lawyer to invest in the lives of those that are less fortunate. I’m so touched by this story. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry.

I hope the representative of El Paso see this and will realize that there are many homeless people out their wich many are veterans and all they need is that extra help to get them become more productive in our society instead of being left behind with no one to care about them. Thank you for all of you who are there for those who need a hand God bless you

This is amazing. I'm going to check this out ASAP. I live in El Paso, but I didn't know this place existed. The rescue mission however has been doing great things for the community for decades. I remember volunteering with a local church to raise money for the rescue mission when I was in high school. We took a tour, and learned about all the stuff they do. Really great people.
