I went to this museum in Hemphill back in 2018 and it was a really good experience. I also am from Nacogdoches where several pieces of the shuttle were found after the explosion, and it’s so sad to think that something like that would happen. RIP to the brave astronauts aboard the Columbia Space Shuttle who we lost on that day in 2003 (I’m posting this on 2/1/2024, 21 years since the explosion happened) 🙏🏻

There’s a big statue of Willie McCool in Lubbock, Texas. If anyone in West Texas is interested I’d recommend seeing it.

My ex brother-in-law had a piece of an arm laying in his driveway after this tragedy. And several pieces of debris in his field.
